An amazing and vibrant neighborhood that you must visit when you come to Galway. It is famous for its iconic buildings and architecture, its shops, its many great restaurants and pubs, and the “night scene” with plenty of live music and street performances. (Street performers are known as “buskers” and they perform a wide variety of local and traditional music, as well as other favorites) Plan on spending several hours here to explore, and try to visit during the day for lunch and a drink, then return later in the evening for the “night crowd.” It’s a very short walk from the harbor, and many people visit here after a day cruise to the islands.

WHAT’S GOOD? 1. This is *the* place to be in Galway. The historic charm and vibrancy of this district are sure to raise your spirits. 2. The number of pubs, restaurants, and shops along these narrow streets are sure to please everyone. 3. This district is adjacent to (within walking distance) modern shopping centers which is a great add-on to any visit if needed. —— WHAT’S BAD? 1. The area is touristy. This isn’t really a bad thing, just be aware. It’s simply a caveat of a really great place. —— SUMMARY: The Latin Quarter is a solid reason to include a Galway visit on your trip. It is a destination and should certainly be considered.

Large pedestrianised streets lined with bars, restaurants, shops and street entertainment. It extends from the Spanish Arch to O'Brien's Bridge to St Nicholas' Church to Middle Street and features many well fine examples of the city’s medieval heritage. A visit to Galway is never complete without spending some time there. I highly recommend this street and it’s pubs and restaurants!!

The place where you will find pubs, restaurants and even breakfast places all at once. It's one of the cultural streets of Ireland. There are travellers hostels as well. A place where all the street artists play the music and all kinds of art. It's a celebratory street and tourists like me love it. If you are in Galway for the first time you must visit here.

Small and lively little street in Galway with a lot of restaurants. A lot of Irish types of pubs that can be found here with live musics and some Italian place. A little hard to find places with enough vegetarian option. I would venture elsewhere for vegetarian food, but would recommend to go here for a drink and lively evening
