Don’t fly from US for this. It’s just a little local festival. All the Restaraunt’s they post do not attend. It’s just suggestions as to where you can eat. They had a little fried food stand and a little stand of raw oysters. They didn’t have enough tables and chairs to eat at. Only a few people could see the stage. They put the tall pub tables at the front around the stage so people behind couldn’t see. They played US rockabilly music. Not enough TVs out around so people in back /side could see. Definitely not International. Lol

Beautiful oyster but so many more food to have! €15.09 got you 6 oysters+Swordfish/veg/potatoes+Cheese+Dessert. Great place to be for the Fest-Noz too. šŸ¤©šŸ˜

The Galway Oyster Festival is the Fyre Festival of oyster festivals ...

Do you like overpriced oysters? Do you like paying 45 euro for THREE "free" oysters? Do you come to Galway thinking, "Id love to hear French accordion music for 2 hours"?

If so, this festival is for you!

This is a SCAM !!!! Avoid at all costs. We thought this would be more "rustic", with multiple vendors and various seafood offerings. Or at least more than one place to buy oysters. Come here if you want a "seafood plate" of 1 euro mini-prawns from Tesco.

You get THREE oysters for a 45 euro ticket (I heard in line that it used to be 6). Then you can pay 15 EURO for SIX oysters from ONE vendor.

It's an absolute joke and a scam. Only come here if you want to mingle with posh restaurant owners and seafood distributors. A sham...

I went to the festival with my family Very disappointing Obviously they hadn’t sold enough tickets as it had no atmosphere They played boring back ground music to start with, Thr band were OK but not lively I spoke to one of the organisers and asked when she thought it might liven up She said after the food was finished We left at 11as we couldn’t stand it anymore We had come to Galway for an Irish experience and that was what it lacked. I don’t know what you have done with the festival but 25 years ago when I last came it was fantastic Great music Irish dancers and lots of food and drink Now it’s overpriced and awful Don’t waste your money on the tickets just go the the bars.That's...
