A wonderful, warm and passionate introduction to the wines of this wonderful region. We made the short hike up from where we were staying in Atrani to this wonderful little winery late in the morning once we realized it closed from 1-4 in the afternoon. We arrived in a frenzied scene of pallets of wine being loaded onto small trucks near one of the endless hairpin turns on the road between Amalfi and ravello.
We didn’t see an obvious door other than the loading dock so we bolted across the road during a rare break in traffic and meekly asked if they were doing tastings. We were enthusiastically welcomed as they apologized that Friday morning was a busy loading time for them, but moments later Raffaele was guiding us through a delightful journey from white through rose to red, with stories on the history of the winery and the stories of the varietals in each wine.
We had a wonderful time and bought several bottles of wine, their wonderful limoncello and a bottle of olive oil for good measure as we chatted with the friendly owner, via Raffaele, who opened the winery in 1962.

The wine tasting guide/host was fantastic. He described the wines well and had pictures of the different kinds of grapes, which I found very helpful in understanding the wine better. The guide also spoke 5 languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French and German). It was amazing hearing him flip through the languages as he helped different people.
They have such a good variety of wines and they are were so amazing. I don’t normally love white wines but some had a mineralty to them that was fantastic. There reds were out of this world amazing.
Ettore, one of the winery owners, came over to our tasting and it was amazing speaking with him. Him and his wife run the winery. He speaks Italian and he was so patient while I spoke broken Italian and with the tasting guide translating.
Overall, it is worth coming to this winery for the amazing wines and great experience...
Read moreWe received a warm and heartfelt welcome at this lovely winery. The wines were truly exceptional—some of the best we’ve ever tasted. The hosts were incredibly friendly and passionate, offering us a glimpse into their production process and allowing us to sample some of their finest selections. You could really feel the love and dedication behind every bottle.
To our surprise, the owner’s grandfather also runs a charming hotel on top of the mountain. The views were breathtaking, and we enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks in a beautiful, peaceful setting—all at very reasonable prices.
What made the experience even more special was their outstanding hospitality. They personally guided us all the way to the hotel and even arranged a parking spot for us as a kind gesture. Such generosity is rare these days.
Absolutely recommended to anyone who appreciates great wine, genuine people, and unforgettable...
