Bar Della Valle — Restaurant in Amalfi

If you’re brown or any other skin colour (apart from being Caucasian) do not go as the waiter is racist. Me, my husband and two year old daughter went to get seated so that we could buy food for our daughter. As we went to sit in the main seated areas where other people were sitting we were asked to sit at a table which is the furthest away outside of the shop boundary. We were confused as there were lots of unoccupied tables in the main area. When we asked as to why he wanted us to sit further away he said that those seats were reserved for people that were coming back from a wedding. We asked when they’d be coming and he said 8pm, even though we were there at 6:40pm. We were still thinking as to whether we should stay but as we wanted to feed our daughter quickly we sat down (within this time the waiter came to ask whether we wanted to sit at the table or leave) so we sat down to look at the menu and after a few minutes a Caucasian couple were seated in the exact seats we asked to sit. My husband then went inside and asked if there was even a reservation and the cashier and other staff inside said that there wasn’t and was confused. When I confronted the waiter, the waiter tried to deny it and laughed it off and tried to say it was a joke. It wasn’t a joke, it was RACISM! I’d also like to add it was only the waiter that was being racist but the other staff...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bar Della Valle, and I can't say enough about how incredible the experience was! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, setting the perfect tone for a memorable meal.

The star of the show, of course, was the burgers. They were nothing short of spectacular. Each burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy patty that burst with flavor in every bite. The variety of toppings and sauces available allowed for a personalized experience, catering to every taste preference. Whether you prefer a classic cheeseburger or something more adventurous with unique ingredients, Bar Della Valle has it all.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, ensuring that every guest left satisfied.

To top it all off, the sides and shakes were the perfect complement to the main course. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the shakes were creamy and delicious, making for a perfect indulgence.

Bar Della Valle is an establishment you MUST visit when in Amalfi! The family owned café/restaurant delivers on simply everything that is on the menu!

Whether that be a Pizza, Club sandwiches, omelets or a nice dessert, you can be sure that the quality and flavors are superb.

I asked the waiter how come everything here in Amalfi in general, and even more outspoken at Bar Della Valley tastes better; -He explained to me, that many restaurants and establishments in Amalfi, ONLY deals with ingredients produced locally. Wow -it shows!!!

Today I finished my stay with a Cappuccino and a little dessert. A Lemon cake (of course-Amalfi is KNOWN for their lemons)… and oh my GOD. It was a taste of heaven. Sponge cake, fresh with a kind of lemon custard inside, wrapped in lemon cream. The Cappuccino was like everything else at this place: fantastic.

Service excellent as well… Nothing negative to say about this place.

As you can probably guess from my SEEMINGLY overly positive review, I HIGHLY recommend eating here while in Amalfi! You won’t regret it; -that is a guarantee!!!
