Read moreWe had a great time at this market and would definitely go again. Cafe in the middle has a lot of seating, decent prices, good lattes, and an excellent pistachio cornetto (croissant). We got 2 lattes and two cornettos for 6 Euro. There is a mix of locals and tourists but it's not too busy and everyone was very nice and respectful. A mix of prepared food stalls, fruit and veg, and clothing and souvenir shops with much better prices than in the city centre. If you are brave though, you can try hitting the Sunday flea market in Trastavere for even better deals. Definitely barter for a better price though, as I'm sure they expect it!
A couple of side-notes.... they say they are open at 7 but we found that only a small fraction (including the cafe) actually were... I don't think a majority of places were open until 10 am .

The market had more of a local feel, with some but not many tourists. The food was fantastic. I had a deep fried calamari dish from the seafood place, very delicious. We had a bunch of other food from the other stalls and it was all really good!

There were also stalls that sold shoes (30-120 euros per pair), clothing (mostly cheap stuff), gadgets, fresh produce, oils and vinegars, etc.
Overall, it was the perfect mix of quick-service food, shopping and fresh produce (bought a bunch of ingredients for a home...
