SumiShun, a stones throw away from our hotel and next to the Station Hotel and 100m from JR Beppu rail station. Ignore the middling reviews on Google search. Service was cheery and food was not slow in coming, with courses coming in one after another. One of the best meals I’ve had on this trip- mixed sashimi, tempura chicken, self-grilled squid, potato salad, grilled chicken livers, yakisoba cooked with kabosu( lots of lime zest). Just ¥5800 /SG$58 for two. Opens 2pm to midnight. Gets full by 615 pm with office crowds coming and going. Then eases after 645pm

Love this! Taste of food is nice, squid is so fish and the serving style is interesting (grill it by self). Found this restaurant coz there’s close to the hotel I stayed in Beppu (about 100m from Beppu Station). Price is reasonable! Staffs are so supportive, some of them are speak rare ENG but I’m sure that they try to communicate to serve their customers the best. 👍🏻

Last order time is 11:00pm on Monday. So if you enter after 11pm , you won’t be able to order food or drink even they close at 12am. Good supper after onsen👍🏻

Great food - classic izakaya style. The staff were really friendly and helpful. So close to the station, it’s great for dropping by!

チェックインまで少し時間があったので昼飲み敢行しました☺ 14：30くらいだったかな？ ランチでもない狭間の時間に開いてる＋居酒屋メニューあるって本当に助かる！同じ思いの人は多くいたようで、駅前という立地も手伝ってほぼ満席でした。 夜に焼き鳥屋さんに行く予定だったので焼き鳥は避けましたが、メニューもてん豊富で嬉しい🤤ちょい飲みだったので、レバーのネギ塩タレ、鶏天、燻製さんまと焼きシイタケの和え物をいただきました。どれもおいしかったけど、鶏天が思った以上においしかった！衣にしっかり味がついていて、食感はサックリ。鶏はふんわりしていて、値段以上のお味でした。 旅行支援の地域クーポンも使えたのでとってもお得に昼のみできました。確かメガハイボールとハイボール飲んでお会計3000円強くらいだったかと思います。店員さんも活気があって使いやすいお店だと思います。 ごちそうさまでした。

來日本第二次體驗居酒屋，第一次菸味太重份量很少剛到日本又不會點，這次用餐感覺很棒。 剛進去店員就問會不會抽菸，然後就安排到較旁邊的無菸區，東西價格稍微高一點點，但是調味都算好吃，不會日文也沒關係，我直接指菜單點餐店員也非常熱心幫忙，再配合Google翻譯就可以了。 想省一點錢又有飽足感，就點烏龍麵吧！份量還不錯QQ很好吃，配幾支想吃的串燒或點串燒組合餐，酒的話我是點梅酒（蘇打）&梅酒（冰塊），個人比較推薦蘇打梅酒，很大一杯沒什麼酒精味很順很好喝像飲料，冰塊梅酒就只是把梅子酒倒在冰塊杯裡，蠻普通的..但酒精味比較濃。 結帳時金額跟我自己算的差不多，店員不會因為是非日本人就亂算錢，要走時還送到門口來，超級有禮貌。 總結：除了居酒屋消費本來就比較高，日本人室內抽菸是風俗，不然沒什麼好挑剔的，還蠻推薦的哦。
