Anmitsu Hime — Attraction in Fukuoka

Wow, what a fun experience! Definitely a must see if you’re visiting or living in Fukuoka. I’m actually surprised it’s not listed in more travel guides. We don’t speak any Japanese but still had a great time. It’s more of a variety show with comedy skits, drag, and a variety of dances with crazy fun costumes and performances. Beware that it’s a little loud, so you may consider wearing earplugs. Also, be sure to reserve your tickets in advance, as it seemed like a full house. You can reserve your tickets online and then pay at the door (credit cards accepted). The website was in Japanese and a little difficult to navigate using online translation, so hopefully they can create an English language website. Overall, a great experience....

Absolutely FANTASTIC time! You do not need to know Japanese to enjoy the show (though a lot of the performers know some English too!) The dancing, the costumes, the energy… 10 out of 10!
