Ikebana Museum — Attraction in Kyoto

Lovely museum (no entrance fee) with ikebana drawings, books and the screens are particularly stunning. All in one large room. The museum is on the third floor and an extensive shop on the eighth floor with ikebana tools, books in English and Japanese, cloths, cards etc. Worth a visit if interested in ikebana and seeing related art work. No actual flower arrangements but still...

You have to ask the security guard to open the museum for you on the third floor. It is really interesting to get to know the history of Ikebana and its connection to the temple next door. The museum could use a little TLC though and I feel like the place could show a lot more on the evolution of Ikebana and how it is created...

Is not worth, just one room. Few old vases, some old ikebana books. Cost 800yen. You better skip this place, I think it is overpriced for one room. A very nice small temple in the yard where I purchased ticket...
