Recently, I have bought a 30000yen piece of art from this shop. Mind you, for a replica that is considered quite expensive. The store clerk said the framing was free but due to how the size of the work was, it could not be framed in store. I don't mind framing it myself because I usually get it framed from a specific place anyways. I decided to leave the item I bought in store so i can pick up another day due to all the frame workshops closes early compared to other shops. I told them I will pick up the item after a few days. Fast forward 4 days because of work and other circumstances I didn't pick up the item until the 4th day.
I decided to hold out on the purchase and wanted a refund instead. I asked for a refund. The store clerks refused the refund. Mind you, the item has been sitting in the shop for the 4 days without being opened and I came with the receipt. Their homepage clearly shows:
"The user may request a return within 5 days of receiving the product. Returns are only accepted for unused and unopened products."

Being in the room felt like a privilege, yet it was accessible and open to anyone. And surprisingly enough, pricing was varied so that anyone could take home something special.
I actually purchased one of the limited prints from Cowboy Bebop and had it shipped home in the USA-- and it arrived only a day after I returned! Professionally wrapped and all. Special thanks to Sarah on the second floor who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Her attitude and love of the art itself was a major factor in my purchase. When I return to Kyoto, I can't wait to come back to Japanime and pick up...

We found special art for ourselves, friends and family. And on top of that the service was really good. They went out of their way to show us all the pieces in the folders, because it wasnt that full in the store, one staffmember even took out a few original cels for us to look at and explained some inside information. For me, it was an rememberable experience, and we come home with something special that we couldnt get...
