Overall our stay was pleasant and restful for our short stay. Recommended for those who are after the Kawaramachi surrounding area.
Reception: We were greeted upon arrival and staff was really helpful. Even though there is a language barrier, the staff are willing to help.
Room and amenities: Quite spacious room and comfy bed. A pillow could be better and comfy. The room is clean and high-tech. Good and complete room amenities. Wifi reception and coverage are great without major issues. FYI, the drinking water from the faucet is a bit milky if it's dispensed slowly. You need to dispense it multiple times and in good turn to get good water or leave it for a min or two. Confirmed with the staff and got told it's drinkable. Alternatively you can ask for more water if needed.
Location: Walking distance within the Kyoto subway station and Shijo-Kawaramachi area.
Pro tips: Staff allows early check-in.
F&B: Plenty of shops around the hotel and shop till you drop if you are happy to wander...

Great location - there's a 7/11 right nearby and there are multiple long streets full of shops and restaurants to explore. We got tons of different souvenirs there. The walls are a bit thin, so we heard some of the street sounds, but we were so tired we could just tune it out when we went to sleep. Overall we had a great stay for 2 nights, just be careful if you're a...
Read moreThe staff is friendly and the location is nice, we booked for two nights. The room itself felt a bit like a bunker with almost no fresh air. The room didn’t feel very clean but we decided not to point it out at the reception because there wasn’t really something we could mention directly however now that we left we got one infected eye and two body’s full of weird rashes and itchiness.
Not sure if we should...
