Nyakuichi-jinja Shrine — Attraction in Kyoto

にゃくいち）神社 社伝によると、宝亀3年(772)、唐から渡来し天王寺に居住した威光上人が、紀州熊野を詣でた際、迷い苦しむ人々を救済しようと、御分霊若一王子の御神体を背負って旅立ち、当地の古堂で一夜を明かしたところ御神託を授かり、堂中に安置した。 その後、当地は荒廃したが、平清盛公が六波羅に在住していた頃には、 当地は浅水の森と称し、風光明媚な土地として名を馳せており、平清盛公は当地に西八条御所と称される別邸を造営した。 仁安元年(1166)、平清盛公が熊野詣でをされた際に、「土中に隠れたる御神体、世に出し奉斎せよ」との御神託を授かった。帰京後、邸内を探したところ、東方の築山が夜光を放っており、清盛公自らが三尺ほど掘ったところで、土中から若一王子の御神体が現れ、当地に社殿を造営し鎮守した。 平清盛公が御神体に開運出世を祈ったところ、翌年仁安2年(1167)2月10日太政大臣に任ぜられたことから、 開運出世の神様として尊崇されている。 社前の楠の御神木は、平清盛公によって植樹されたものとされる。

In 1166, when Taira no Kiyomori made a pilgrimage to Kumano, he received a divine oracle that said, ``The object of worship hidden in the ground should be brought out into the world and dedicated.'' After returning to Tokyo, he searched the mansion and found that the artificial mountain to the east was glowing at night, and when Lord Kiyomori himself dug about 3 feet, the deity of the Young Prince appeared from the ground, and he built a shrine there and guarded it. did. Prince Taira no Kiyomori prayed to the shrine for good luck and success in life, and on February 10, the following year, 1167, he was appointed Daijodaijin. He is revered as the god of good luck and success in life. The sacred camphor tree in front of the shrine is said to have been planted by Lord Taira no Kiyomori.

⛩️にゃくいち神社といいます　　平成28年に創建850年祭をすまされその際　境内の整備もされ　綺麗になりましたが　宮司さんが力をいれられたのが　御神体の鏡の前にある前立て鏡⚪を　京都でただ唯一の手仕事の鏡師の方に依頼され　三ヶ月かけて見違えるように　輝くようになったようです　前立て鏡は　参拝者の心を映す鏡なので　参拝時に自らを映し　しっかりと自分の姿をみつめなおしてお参りされたらいかかでしょうか　この光輝く鏡のためか　若一神社は今まで以上に　神聖な空気をただよわせています NHK...

にゃくいちじんじゃと読みます。 JR京都線、西大路駅北口を出ると案内板が出ているので、矢印に従って歩いていくと初めてでも迷わずいけました。 御神木のクスノキには座敷わらしがいると言われています。 水占いの水瓶や、平清盛公縁の湧水もあり、水と空気がきれいでとても澄んでおり、清々しい場所です。 清水を汲めるので、ボトルを持っていくと良いでしょう。 宮司さんがお話好きでとても親切な方で、いろいろお話してくれました。 座敷わらしの絵馬にぜひお顔を描いて願いを奉納してごらん、と教えてくれました。 御朱印は書き置きのでものをいただけますが、貼るためのノリも貸してくださいました。

境内には祖霊社や弁財天のお社もあります。 大きさはそんなに広くありませんが、よく手入れされとても落ち着く場所です。 その昔は平清盛公の御屋敷だったそうで、お力にあやかり出世開運のご利益があると言われています。
