It is an island with beautiful scenery. It's worth going for a walk around the island for just 200 yen (April 17, 2024). The bridge closes at 4:30 PM in the evening, and I noticed that there is a security guard walking around the island to see if there are still people on the island (I think it's approx. 5 p.m.)

Most of the walkways around the island are paved with a special material that is soft, flexible and comfortable to wear. Although there was some walking up and down, overall it was a comfortable walk.

Along the way, it is not only shaded by many big big trees. There are also colorful flowering plants. especially sakura and Japanese camellias that blooming, falling, decorating the walkway beautifully.

And of course, there are also three or four Matsushima Bay view points...

Firstly, the place is huge. If you're the adventurous sort who wants to take the small unpaved roads that slice through the forested areas, then prepare to spend a lot more time. (Make sure your shoes aren't slippery, and only to attempt these smaller paths under good weather.) The scenery is fantastic, starting from the big red bridge into the island, and including various sightseeing areas throughout the perimeter of the island. A flower garden with origami displays is also available within the premises. Watch out for insects and spiders -- almost all are safe, but they can get quite obnoxious if your pants are short. All in all, lots to see (and lots of walking to do) considering how small the...

I had a wonderful time visiting Fukuura Island in Matsushima. The walking path was well-maintained and perfect for a peaceful stroll. The autumn foliage was absolutely stunning, with vibrant reds and oranges creating a picturesque landscape. The scenic views of the islands and the sea were breathtaking, especially with the sunlight reflecting off the water.

There are plenty of spots to sit and relax while enjoying the natural beauty. The bridge connecting the island was a unique highlight and added to the charm of the experience. Overall, it's an excellent spot for nature lovers and anyone looking to unwind. Highly...
