Oyster Hut Matsu — Restaurant in Matsushima

Oyster Hut Matsu [Matsu Oyster Restaurant] offers various type of oyster meal or entry services to customers, including all-you-can-eat meal selection [with 45-minute time limit], specific number of oyster entry service [such as 3 oysters, 5 oysters, etc.], other oyster meals, such as noodle, lunch sets. Etc. It also offers beer and sake drinks to the customers.

When we were there, I found that quite a few local Japanese did stop by this restaurant for beer and sake drink with simple meal. Often, it is an indication that restaurant’s price is reasonable and probably a bargain, and quality is reliable and trust-worthy.

Its oysters seem to have been steamed lightly first to maintain freshness, and, then, when customers order for oyster BBQ or other meal service, owner-chef or staff would pick up the oysters from the steamed area.

Because Matsu Oyster Restaurant is NOT located at Boat-ride docking area and is NOT located at core shopping and dining area either, it is less crowded at meal time, and wait-time can be shorter. But, in my view, its meal quality does meet standard of freshness, clean, and suitable for customer’s selection...

We decided to visit oyster town and really looking forward to explore the town.

Food: Good oyster selection for those who love the oysters as many selections there for all of you especially BBQ all you can eat with limited time. The product were great 👍.

Service: As of Japanese standards.

It's worth and valuable , here is Oyster buffet. All oyster are steamed, it's not a raw oyster. The taste is good ,a bit salty, so no need any soy suace.

Staff is very nice, he taugh me how to eat.

There is no parking at the restaurant but there is a near parking lot with charge.
