Lovely local bathhouse run by a very sweet baachan who was very welcoming of foreigners. Ticket machine simple to understand (440 for adult). You have to pay extra for sauna, towels etc (all options on machine). Hair dryer costs 10-20 yen for 3 mins which is a mild grievance.
Building is very old and is naturally suffering from wear and tear. This makes it seem dirtier than it actually is. Still may not be cleanest (hair in drains) but what bathroom isn't.
Has a steam room, electric bath, spa bath and cold and hot. Couldn't find a tap at the wash station that actually gave cold water but oh well.

Read moreReally nice onsen, it was my first experience at an onsen, the staff were very friendly and helped explain what to do, I was able to enjoy my experience without being able to speak Japanese to her or read Japanese. You can bring your own amenities like towels and bath soap etc, if you don't have any you can also get everything you need from the ticket machine which I did😁
There is an electric bath, a hot bath and a slightly cooler bath with a jacuzzi like stream on one side, it was very good at relaxing my body😁
