Located on the 4th floor of the JP Kitte Building, directly connected to the west exit of JR Osaka Station, this is one of the stylish restaurants where you can enjoy the taste of Osaka in a brand new building that opened in July 2024. Kushiage is one of Osaka's specialty dishes, where seafood, meat, vegetables, etc. are skewered, battered, fried, and then eaten with a special sauce. The appearance and taste of the dishes served at the omakase(set menu) restaurant are something you can't find in other countries. However, each skewer is small, so you will need to order a certain amount (10 or more skewers) to get full. Of course, you can also order more pieces one by one by looking at the menu. There is no doubt that this is a restaurant where you can enjoy not only the food, but also the lively atmosphere of the restaurant, the service of the staff, and the wonderful Japanese counter design inside the restaurant. A nicer spot for kushiage that offers lunch set menu options. I went a little after opening and just missed the first set of seating but the wait wasn't too bad. Things moved along pretty fast as things were streamlined with the more limited menu. Most people got the set menu with either salmon or steak as the main. Very easy, approachable, and reasonably priced for being in a fancy department store building. It satisfied the itch of kushiage in Osaka for me.

Most of the clientele seemed to be wealthy middle aged women... Take that for whatever it's worth. Not what I (a ill informed foreigner=P) would think is your typical kushiage place with boisterous parties and beer, more of a book club meeting with...

On our second day in Osaka with no clue of Japanese language we found this restaurant specialised for skewers: Nearly every morsel of food came on a stick - often with a surprise! The team was amazing and treated us like special guests. In addition, one of our party was highly allergic to crustaceans and also this issue was taken care of with highest care.
