I'll leave it to the true audiophiles to describe the many goodies in this store. I just want to describe my experience getting wonderful customer service from Nakata (hope I got your name right). I am not too knowledgeable about audio - I just like music and enjoy my Sennheiser momentum headphones (wired). I was looking for a USB-C adapter/dongles so I could use my headphones with my Pixel 8. I am a non-Japanese speaking American, so I had to use Google translate to communicate with him. Despite our language barrier, he patiently explained to me what a DAC is and why these pricier dongles worked better. He asked me what headphones/earphones I liked, and when I didn't have my personal ones with me to test out the dongles, he pulled out display Sennheiser earphones or me to use. When I was about to purchase two different dongles, he made a recommendation for one that seemed to suit my needs better. I greatly appreciated his honesty with recommending me products instead of just letting me buy a product that I might not need. Love that guy!!
Besides that, I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the store regarding customer needs. They have USB-C adapters and cleaning wipes distributed through the store for easy access. Pairing instructions for every Bluetooth product, and informational labels. I highly enjoyed testing out all types of earphones/headphones here and spent like 2.5 hours here. Highly recommend when in Japan since we have nothing like this...
Read moreA very good place to try out all the latest headphone, especially the staffs are super helpful and willing to let you (actually they encourage you to do so as they explicitly written around the shop) playing mix and match, like I asked them to let me try the Chord Hugo TT2 + M Scaler, comparing Hifiman Susvara, Dan Clark Audio Stealth ,Mysphere 3.2 and Audio Technica ADX5000.
In addition they also has a whole floor of for 2nd hand equipment, with the Japanese details, they will list out all the equipment's status selling there, details from if the ear pad is smelly or the cable is dirty, to the plug's coating wear off status, and they will discount it accordingly. Vintage audio lover should also pay a visit here.
In general: Ground floor ( in Japan it is called 1/F) is for popular items, like new released Bluetooth and wired headphone/IEM
2nd Floor: Most of the available bluetooth/wired headphone/IEM and portable DAP/ adapter for mobile, all priced below 50000yen
3rd floor: Wired headphone/IEM/ amplifier/ DAC priced over 50000yen
4th floor: 2nd hand floor, everything from DAP to headphone/IEM to cable and case
5th floor: Repair and trade in center
Just give it a try and you...
Read moreIf you or someone you love really likes headphones, and I mean really likes headphones, you are doing yourself and them a disservice by not adding this place to your itinerary.
They have the widest variety I have ever seen under one roof, and you can try practically everything. I got the chance for the first time in my life to really hear what headphones that cost thousands of dollars really sound like, and to learn more about my tastes and preferences. The staff are knowledgeable, tremendously helpful, and clearly love working with audio products as much as anyone who wants to spend a lot of time here.
What was really cool though, was the pre-owned and trading floors. You can buy an incredible selection of IEMs, DACs, media players, TWS, headphones, you name it.
My advice: do your research before walking in here. Know what you're looking for and what you're willing to pay. It can be tremendously overwhelming and on my first visit I mostly stood there looking at my phone and price checking. If my partner didn't drag me out of this store, I'd probably have spent our whole night and several thousand...
