Despite nowadays most of us are solely using mobile camera, I still can think of two very good reasons to visit this museum. Firstly, it’s very nice walking through the memory lane to look at photography history, which helps us understand why we are here and how lucky (or unlucky) we are to live in the status quo. Secondly, there are still limitations to mobile camera and by watching their exhibition, we may have some ideas on why we should still consider purchasing a conventional camera (a powerful one of course). I really don’t mind that the organiser has some hidden agenda in mind because I do enjoy the show.

If you’re even slightly interested in the history of photography, this is a place you must check out! It’s free and the photos they have on display are particularly interesting but the main attraction are the cameras in the museum. Seeing the evolution of the camera and learning about the history of photography in Japan was delightful. Unfortunately no photos are allowed in the museum which is ironic for a company that builds cameras.

There were exhibitions for young and upcoming photographers at the time of my visit.

They were passionate about print media which is special at this time of the digital age.

The museum with old and vintage cameras was quite extensive. It's a bit ironic that we can't take photos at this place where they promote...
