My husband was in the mood for a good craft beer, so we decided to check out the first place nearby that seemed promising. It was located in a plaza and had a spacious, industrial-style interior that gave off a Western-inspired vibe—pretty inviting at first glance.
The menu was clearly influenced by American cuisine. Based on the staff’s recommendations, we ordered the pasta with sea urchin and the wagyu steak, along with four small craft beers.
Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. The beers were all underwhelming, and to make matters worse, the QR code menu only listed about a fifth of the draft beers they were supposedly known to have. For a place that prides itself on its craft beer selection, this was a real letdown.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. I couldn’t even finish mine. The pasta sauce tasted like it came from a premade jar, and there was no trace of sea urchin. The wagyu steak was mediocre at best—the fries were mushy, and the salad looked and tasted like it came straight out of a bag with some dressing thrown on top.
I will say the staff were attentive and friendly, and the complimentary drinks station was a nice touch. But overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. My husband has even jokingly sworn off picking the next place after...
Read moreIt was truly an unpleasant meal at this restaurant, my most awful experience in Japan ever during 3 years!!! We arrived around noon and sat on the terrace since we’ve been told no more tables available inside. During our 2h meal, we tried a lot of times to negotiate if it was possible to move inside because there were empty tables, a lot, and people kept going out, and it was really very COLD outside, especially with 2 kids. The man who served us was really quite a thing, cold, nothing on the face, we talked to a waitress, she said no problem to get a table when people finished their meal, but then no answer, later we know the man is manager and he refused. No comment on the food because everything got cold quickly. We argued with him when we paid, and he was like I’m the manger already anyway, you have nobody else to talk, and I don’t understand English. You work in Tokyo midtown, and you tell me you don’t understand the basic English? Even the konbini staff does! Later we claim to the service center in midtown, and he was fooling everyone around like all is the problem of reservations! But not! It was your attitude which bothered us since the beginning to the end! Share you guys picture our little two children eating in the cold! I’m wondering if he does have a kid, what is his...
Read moreI went to the restaurant with my friends on a Sunday night. First of all, we didn’t get water which is most basic thing in restaurants in Japan. We have to ask for it after 30min cuz we get so thirsty. Then it took almost 30min for our drinks to come. However the waiter just accidentally spilled the drink on the table so he had to go back and remake the drinks(Not sure if he really remade the drinks cuz he came back in 10min). We DIDN’T even get any sincere apologize. I don’t know if it’s because we are foreigners so they think it’s okay to treat us randomly. The worst part is we waited for our pizza for almost ONE HOUR when we r told it needs 20min. Eventually we just canceled the order. One of the waiters was nice but the rest just ignore the customers and it wasn’t even a busy night !! I think they just forgot our order!!!! I NEVER HAVE EXPERIENCED SUCH BAD ATTITUDE IN A RESTAURANT IN JAPAN!!!! I would definitely NOT go there any more!!! And I think they treat people...
