Simply great! helpful, professional and yet nice staff and the level of english of the employee was amazing for japanese standards. If you're in need of fast, no limit, everywhere internet while you are staying in japan, this is THE place to go!
This is my second time in japan but the first time i made the mistake if buying a data sim card and later regretted it since my laptop would not rue with it. Today i am in japan to stay minimum one year so i wanted to get the best option for internet during my stay...
After hours of surfing the Web, it was obvious pocket wifi was what i needed. After some more reasearch i found out about Anyfi.jp which seems to be the best price/quality offer. I am the kind of guy who doesnt like to buy stuff via internet especially for big amounts of money. Lucky for me, Anyfi.jp has a few shops in the center of tokyo so i could go to one and exchange face to face for the deal.
When i got there, another customer had just arrived and only one employee so i thought it would take ages. We chatted à little bit with the other customer (from USA) and before i knew it it was already my turn!
As i had listened to the employee instructions, my registration was even faster! (less than 3 minutes) Only problem was my credit card which for some reason didnt work (maybe too much money at a time). But the employee still gave me the pocket WiFi after i paid half of it with the cash i had and i will gladly go back in a couple of days to pay what i owe.
I am a heavy internet user. So far no problem. I watch movies on my PC and use my phone for other stuff at the same time. And when i move it still works even when i am in the deepest of tokyo metro lines.
Bravo Anyfi.jp! Special thanks to Sakiko. Keep up...
Read moreFinal review updated 1/5: Overall, still good product but a lot of the confusions mentioned below could be mitigated if I get an email confirmation that an order is placed and the order is shipped. I remember getting these kind of emails before, but this time around I got nothing so it's not clear to the customer if the order went through or is being processed. When we checked in the hotel the hotel also couldn't find the wifi, which is not your fault, but if you were to given me the tracking number email I could've worked with the hotel to resolve it.
Please fix this to improve your customer experience. Thank you. //////
Updated 12/10: As the company finally got back to me after 4 days. I will update the review after the trip if the experience is still good for recommendation (adjusting from 1 to a neutral 3 stars for now). Previous review: 12/8 Fairly disappointed about my recent experience. I have been a loyal customer since 2014 (!) and I use to recommend it to my friends and use it every year I visit Japan - until now!
I don’t know if they are still in operation or the person in support just not doing their job, but I placed an order 4 days ago for a delivery in 2 weeks and normally, I would get an order confirmation email. But not this time! So I contacted support and the person asked me to check with my credit card (which is confusing because why do I need to do that? It’s either you have or don’t have my order). Then for the last 4 days no one has responded to me despite me following up - meanwhile they have charged and clear my credit card payment...
Read moreI was introduced to Any-Fi by Gerardo one of the staff who explained everything to me as I went to the Philippines and wanted to use my phone’s internet without hefty roaming charges.
I went to the store and spoke to Ryu about how it works. All the staff speak fluent English and were really helpful. I used my Wi-Fi for my business trip and was given discount on the services which was really nice of the staff.
The speed was very quick and stable as I tested it in Japan. It was much faster than my 4G LTE connection and even in the Philippines it was quicker than any public Wi-Fi. I was able to video call my wife back in Japan and watch YouTube videos in my hotel without any issues at all. Which was my intended purpose as well as to use Google maps for getting around.
If you need International or even localised Wi-Fi for trips they have some great options and hasn’t let me down at all even though the Philippines is notorious for having bad connections. It’s faster than what the locals can get.
All the staff have been great and...
