We decided to have a Christmas buffet lunch at the Marble Lounge at the Hilton Tokyo near Shinjuku during the holiday period. The Marble Lounge is known to do themed buffets throughout the year.

They're quite popular and often booked out, so making a reservation ahead online is highly advised.

The venue itself is located in the lobby foyer so you'll need to get used to eating while a lot of hotel guests are walking around.

The buffet food choice was okay and we enjoyed their roast beef, Indian curry and desserts. Unfortunately it's a little bit too crowded and would be a better experience if they decreased the amount of people they seated per session. I realize it's a business and they need to maximize the opportunity but the waiting lines can get a bit long and staff seemed a bit stretched thin and therefore forgetting things.

At 8,000 yen per person, it's pricey for what it is and it does feel that most people come here due to the hype, just as we did. Unfortunately, it didn't quite...

Not the best choice. I had a high expectation after seeing the photos on the internet, but in fact, it's a bit different. I love the their fancy decorations in the lounge area and foods. Unfortunately costumes didn't have time to enjoy the atmosphere so much since this place is usually crowded. I absolutely don't recommend you to just walk-in. Although I made a reservation, I had to wait outside for almost 15 mins, and waited in queue again to get food. Each line was so long and it's hard to enjoy the tea time when you have to wait like 15 min to get a plate (can of course you don't eat only a plate at the buffet). The variety of food was not so good and the biggest problem is almost all of it didn't taste very good. It might be a nice place to take photos, but not for spending your time for a relaxation, talking to friends, enjoy a time, or even have...

We really lucked out having breakfast buffet included with our stay at the Tokyo Hilton Shinjuku. Choices were extensive varying from western and Japanese offerings. There’s an omelet bar. The coffee was EXCELLENT and bold tasting. Fresh juices and creative juice mixes are available. Lots of bread options…lots for vegetarians. We’ve seen breakfast buffets at hotels all over the world, and outside of Las Vegas where buffets are at a whole other level, this was the best we’ve experienced. You could set yourself up with a completely different meal every day. The staff was attentive. Chefs were on hand to answer questions about ingredients and the dining area was comfortable, and although always highly populated, never felt over crowded. If you’re staying at the Hilton Shinjuku, it’s well worth making sure the breakfast buffet is part...
