This charming diner is located in the heart of Shinjuku Chuo Park, offering a cozy spot to relax and enjoy a satisfying meal amidst the bustling city. The seating is not only comfortable but also thoughtfully arranged to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for solo diners, couples, or groups looking to unwind.
One of the standout features of this diner is its extensive menu, which caters to a variety of tastes and preferences. From savory dishes to sweet treats, there’s something for everyone. However, the true highlight of the menu is their freshly made pancakes. As noted on the menu, these pancakes take around 15 to 20 minutes to prepare, but the wait is absolutely worth it. The pancakes are light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, making them a must-try for anyone visiting.
The staff here are exceptionally friendly and polite, always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm demeanor adds to the overall pleasant experience of dining at this spot. We had missed our chance to dine here the day before because the wait was so long. It was around 9:30am, hustling and bustling, no one greeted us as they were preoccupied with their current guests and that is 100% okay!
However, it was a lovely experience upon entering as soon as they opened the following day. We were greeted by 3 people around the entrance, asked how many for our table and swiftly guided to a table of their choice.
The food is delicious, the service was great, and the experience was notable.
The hosts helped us primarily in Japanese. Having a device to translate clarifying questions like what ingredients, alternatives, if you’re not yet fluent with introductory Japanese, can go a long way. BUT I RECOMMEND PUTTING SOME TIME IN LEARNING JAPANESE FOR TOPICS SUCH AS FOOD, MONEY, & GENERAL COURTESIES at the least...
Read moreGenuinely loved it here, starting off by saying if you want some good breakfast in Shinjuku right next to a nice park, this is the place!
I came here with a friend and the wait was acceptable, maybe 25 minutes or so. The seats were exceptionally comfy, usually don't mention anything about this but it definitely stood out.
The service was excellent and the waitress was very patient without our fumbled Japanese and mostly English ordering. The view was great too as well as the cozy atmosphere, it wasn't loud but nice and calm.
I had some pizza toast, and we both had Souffle Pancakes, the seasonal ones with chestnuts. They were simply delicious. Extremely fluffy and buttery and sweet, they needed absolutely no syrup and were stand out all on their own. The pizza toast was good too, but the pancakes simply blew everything else out of the park.
One note my friend had is the Blue Mountain coffee he had is unfortunately drip rather than espresso, but your taste may differ.
HIGHLY recommend coming here if you're in the area for breakfast or...
