During my visit to Japan, I stayed at several Ryokans. I had high expectations for this particular hotel due to numerous glowing reviews, but unfortunately, it fell short in several aspects. The location was the only redeeming quality, as it was in a quiet residential area adjacent to a train station, making it perfect for relaxation.

My group booked two rooms - a more expensive double room and a twin room with stairs. Surprisingly, the cheaper room appeared to be more spacious. The hotel provided small packets of facial gel and toner, but no lotions. The biggest issue with the room was the absence of curtains on the windows. Since I came here to relax, the morning light streaming through the windows woke me up early. Moreover, the temperature of the air conditioning rose suddenly in the middle of the night, making me feel suffocated. A good night's sleep is the least one can expect from a hotel, and this hotel failed miserably in this regard. Although I alerted the staff, the air conditioning problem persisted on the second night. Therefore, I hold the hotel facilities responsible and not the staff.

The onsen had two areas, one inside and the other in an open-air setting. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience when I saw two Asian women using their mobile phone inside the onsen room with an open-air setting. They were also splashing their legs in the water, as if they were in a swimming pool. Additionally, a Caucasian woman wore a yukata inside the onsen area and walked around the bathing area through every aisle and onsen area twice, which I found very strange since everyone was naked. I was hesitant to report this to the staff immediately, as there were many people, and I did not want to identify or confront them myself.

The area for drying hair and applying makeup was too small, and there were no lotions or hair creams provided. Considering the price, I did not think it was worth the money.

Oh, the free ice-cream was a nice addition. But still, I wouldn't return here for sure.
