I was there for lunch this last time, and I had a very nice soup for my main course. It was a thick brown soup--I posted a photo of it--and Stefano explained that it was his grandmother's recipe. It was very filling and good!
My friend Brian--half Italian--from New York City said that Stefano's was the only Italian restaurant he had been to in Tokyo that served more than just the standard Italian food. He really liked the unique dishes at Stefano's!

Read moreSimply the best Italian restaurant in Tokyo; superb food - fresh, imaginative dishes which never cease to amaze. I am a vegetarian and have some dietary requirements and this is absolutely not a problem; Stefano is extremely flexible, creating ad hoc menu items on the fly - combining elements from other dishes to tailor to any preferences or restrictions in the group. Finally Stefano - the eponymous hero of the restaurant, he takes the whole dining experience to a new level fun, knowledgeable and so very talented he makes every visit memorable.
If you are in Tokyo and are a food lover then do not miss this restaurant! It is the only restaurant that I would be happy to fly 6,000...
