MAISON KAYSER Kagurazaka Shop — Restaurant in Tokyo

Went today and the staff was not welcoming. Although they did not appear to be very busy (I was the only one in the shop, around 8:40am) they started acknowledging my presence only after I came closer to the cashier and greeted them with a "good morning / おはようございます！". The temperature inside the shop was abnormally high and when I was about to pay, the cashier said it was "cash only".. So I said I would go around the shop search wherever I can find a machine to withdraw money. The lady at the cashier didn't bother advising me on the nearest ATM so off I went. After getting the cash, went back in the shop. There, still no one paying attention (2 customers are now in the shop). I wait after both of them are finished with their purchase and settle the bill. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience. Such a pity cause products from Maison. KAISER...

Amazing bakery find that was near the hotel where my group stayed for the Tokyo portion of our trip. Had an Almond croissant and cafe latte. Amazing croissant. No difference to good ones I've eaten in France. The coffee was decent. Tiny yet comfortable place with a few seats. Service adequate but not particularly pleasant. Also, no hot chocolate on offer, which usually goes well...
