Tsukishima Monja Moheji Ningyocho — Restaurant in Tokyo

I've spent 20 days in Japan between November and December 2024 and I tried numerous restaurants/foods. This was definitely among the best experiences, so I had to visit it twice.

This restaurant seems to be quite busy in the evenings, as I had to queue both times. I don't often comment on the atmosphere of a place, but this one is an exception. The place is relatively small and congested, but this makes the atmosphere more lively and it adds to the experience.

All the food I tried was great, but I would specifically recommend monja, if you haven't tried it before.

It's a nice little place, ny girlfriend and I have been looking for a place like this for a while hut we didn't decide where to go. We were walking around after we left Ginza Karen. We walk down the road and saw this place and decided this would be it, so we waited in line (they have seats outside) and when It was our turn we went in and they sat us down promptly. We don't speak Japanese and they don't speak English all that much but we got around it with Google translate and common phrases. The atmosphere was great and the staff were kind. Perfect in every little detail! It's a restaurant that is very popular with locals but absolutely perfect for foreigners! The ordering system is all done on your cell phone and is fully translated, and the waiters are extremely kind, friendly and sociable (I would like to highlight the excellent service provided by the waiter who served me, Daito, who was extremely friendly, skilled, motivated and spoke perfect English!).
