Male clerk is unfriendly and very rude. I purchased a small towel thinking it was a regular small sized towel they’d have similar to that of a hotel’s but it wasn’t. It was a thin towel that you cannot use for wiping or anything. I think it’s the one you use to cover your body while going into the onsen?
Anyway we didn’t realize until we took a peak at the towels... and we did that before going downstairs to the onsen! ... we immediately went back to the male clerk and explained to him we misunderstood the labels because it was confusing. And before we finished talking he immediately said no and that we can’t return it because we opened it? It wasn’t even in a sealed bag. It was just in a crummy string bag that has no sealing whatsoever!! Horrible and not very understanding. The labeling on their machine was confusing even for my japanese friend.
Also he would speak to me in English even though I spoke to him in Japanese. So rude. I spoke English with my sister but not to him?! I lived in japan for many years and am very fluent. Yet he still spoke to me in English _
But aside from the horrible customer service, this is still one of the best onsens I’ve been in Japan!
Skin stayed very smooth for...
Read moreThis is a terrific indoor-outdoor onsen. This review is focused on the massage services since it's not provided clearly on the website. Massage is available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays only from 12pm to 6pm. You can buy 10-minute increments at a time for 1000 yen each (i.e., 40 minutesis 4000 yen). There is a promotion for 20-minute massage and entrance to the bath for only 2700 yen (entrance to the baths is 1000 yen). You can add time to the promotion to get the duration of massage you want (e.g., I added 40mins to get a 60min massage). You can pay with credit card. This is a dry massage over your clothes. The massage therapist will also put a towel on top of the area he massages plus sanitize his hands before touching you. The massage therapist is extremely skilled and knows exactly what to do to get rid of the knots in your body. I even fell asleep during my treatment. We communicated fine even though I speak very little Japanese - Google Translate helped. I highly recommend...
Read moreBest onsen I've ever experienced! Not much is in English till you actually get into the onsen but you can easily pay your entrance fee at a machine. The staff will help.you if you have trouble. An adult fee costs 700¥. You can pay for a rented yakata (robe), towels, etc. at the machine too. All very cheap!
This is everything you want in an onsen. Perfect temps and several outdoor baths. Personal tubs outside too. The locker room is very clean although not much space if everyone wants to use a blow dryer and mirror. Would definitely recommend bringing your own after onsen body lotion as they do not provide any...
Would definitely go back. I was there while it was snowing and it...
