In today’s episode of taking the fear out of doing things as a plus size person we are taking on the rollercoaster seat challenge! We’ve all been there, wondering if the seat buckle will close over our belly and hips 😱 this used to be a fear of mine so I hope my videos can show you that you can do all the things too! ❤️🩹 this test seat is at @Linnanmäki in Helsinki, Finland, so you know if you’re around my size, you can take part too! Get out there this summer! 🫶🏻🎢 #themepark #plussize #plussizeedition #plussizeparkhoppers

“AIVAN MAHVTA PAIKKA” (Quite an AMAZING place!) Linnanmäki is located within a park situated on a series of hillsides set atop knolls of bedrock formations giving rise to spectacular views and landscapes from every angle of the park’s scenic attractions. Reachable by tram from anywhere and so very convenient for many visitors to and from the city center and other outlying parts of the region. Now on this evening, this was a special Halloween Horror Festival which had many visitors flocking in for these weekend fright nights! Unfortunately, being terribly undressed, and completely out of place with the colder conditions at this time of the year, it would have been nicer if what was worn could have been a lot more sensible and less dressy. Many people were donned in very warm fashion-forward winter clothing. Including hats, gloves, and scarves, plus walking shoes too. Underestimated by the temperature going onto some of the greater attractions less the most steepest of roller coasters proved to be more challenging than others normally speaking for riding them till the later night hours rolled by. What is so fantastic about the experience was by the number of roller coasters here that were the same level of its equivalent at Universal Studios in Osaka, just last year (September 2023). The comparatively closeness in degrees for thrilling (10+) excitement and the range of really super-heightened super-accelerated roller coasters are indeed worth seeing for anyone who’s ever experienced riding one, two, or more times in a lifetime than remembered! In any event the crowds were a greater motley mix of friends, many with families, relatives and children, teenagers, young couples, lovers or friends who were all there for a great opportunity for fun and relaxed enjoyment together. A truly unique combination between both ultimate urban escapes and crossover of high energy levels that stretches across age ranges of all levels. The restaurant choices [like in many areas of Helsinki], are pretty incredible and outstandingly varied, moderately priced and surprisingly very delicious! Prices for having a small meal or dinner is again [reasonable and not as expensive] as it would be, say, in the States or perhaps in places in Asia. Nevertheless it is very relaxing. And a very popular place to come to. To enjoy the park’s atmosphere especially with families, and kids alike. Teenagers too. Highly recommended whenever the park is open during the year and for its special events and activities, to the occasions year-round! Folks from Sweden should find themselves here too for its astonishing mix of activities and the world famous amusements that make it quite irresistible to meet other people and mix and mingle. A must see for sure whenever in Helsinki, highly, more than once!! (I would consider a couple of visits longer just to go here, again regardless of the circumstances, it’s that spectacular!)

Linnanmäki is the oldest amusement park in Finland, and you can notice it from the rides. For example, the wooden coaster Vuoristorata (simply The Roller Coaster) has stood there since the 1951 and I must say, it's still really fun, unique and classic ride even to this day. There are also a lot of modern rides, like the new Taiga LSM coaster (built in 2019), Ukko, Kirnu, Kingi, Salama, Tulireki, and so on. I have even heard some rumors amond the coaster enthusiasts, that Taiga might be among the top 5 roller coasters in Europe, and that's a really good result for Linnanmäki and Finnish amusement park industry. There's a lot of rides for everyone and some of the rides are totally free. This means that the entrance to Linnanmäki is completely free and you don't need the wristband to actually pass the gates. Linnanmäki is an amazing place, especially if you haven't never visited this place before. The scenery is really well done and everything just seems to fit really well together. However, it's still not as big and "scenery rich" as other top amusement parks in Europe, but for it's size and location Linnanmäki has done a great job. Prices might be a little high, but considering that this might be your "one time in a lifetime" experience, I would say that it's really worth it. I would still recommend to take some snacks and waterbottle with you if you are visiting Linnanmäki. There's also a lot of options if you want to buy food and drinks from Linnanmäki. Linnanmäki is located very near the citycenter, so travelling to Linnanmäki shouldn't be a problem. I must say that if you are visiting Helsinki, this might be almost a must visit place among tourists and travellers. It's a little shame that Linnanmäki it's as popular among tourists compared to other attractions in Helsinki, but there's honesty a lot to see and experience here. Recommended.

When visiting Helsinki, one of the primary purposes of the trip was to experience Linnanmäki. I'm admittedly a huge theme park fan, so it's been on my radar since 2019, with the opening of a big roller coaster that put it on the map. It's one of the easiest theme parks I've ever been to. It's within walking distance of the main city center, and there are lots of public transport options to the gates too. The park allows free entry, and then you can buy single tickets or wristbands for rides and attractions. If you're planning on riding more than a few rides, then it's definitely worth buying a wristband. The wristbands are the same price online as they are in the park, so there isn't any need to pre-book them. The park is much bigger than I first anticipated, and is packed full of attractions. The park itself is very well-maintained and clean, with a really great atmosphere. We spent a whole afternoon and evening enjoying the wide variety of rides and attractions. Vuoristorata, their classic wooden roller coaster, Swingi, their new for 2024 swinging ride, and Kingi, a 250ft drop tower, were all fantastic rides that shouldn't be missed if you're seeking thrills. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Taiga, an Intamin-launched roller coaster that delivers an exhilarating experience from start to finish. The launch is powerful and the track layout is non-stop, and really does leave you breathless as you hurtle around the track. It's certainly in my top 10 favorite roller coasters I've ridden! Overall, Linnanmäki is a fantastic amusement park that offers a great day out. Its central location, well-maintained facilities, and eclectic rides make it a top visit in my opinion if you're heading to Helsinki.

I'm a local and have been visiting this place since my childhood. First of all, I love it. It's a beautiful place with great views and a good selection of attractions for just about everyone. Here are some tips: 1. The evening wristband. One of my favourite "ploys" is to go to the park and enjoy the food and the free attractions and just hang out until the evening wristband becomes valid in the late afternoon. It's cheaper than the regular one and still gives access to all the rides. 2. Wanna do two days in a row? Right before the park closes, if you have a wristband, you can use it to buy a new one for the next day, it's about 10 euros if I remember correctly. 3. Food. They take pride in upping their game on the food options, and I suppose it's worked out. Also, obviously, the price points vary quite a lot. You can find Mexican and Italian food, traditional meatballs and fancier burgers. But also a casual buffet, fast food and a café. Lintsiburger is pretty much a re-branded Hesburger, alongside many options that won't make your wallet feel sad or empty inside. Just don't rush to eat at the first place you see, consider your options and you'll be fine. 4. Try finding the strange smiling statue. Just... Try finding it. And if the trash cans speak to you, you should answer.
