You get most of what you need, and even more so since it is co-joined to IKEA. There are plenty of parking and in the weekdays it does not seem to get busy. And there are still more shops, malls nearby if for some reason you are left wanting more options.
The toilets are also very pleasant to use as they are frequently cleaned and there are many around. The way it is designed, it is accessible at both sections of the mall.
For those who forgot where the cars are parked a quick visit to the securities and they will be able to identify the location for the massive complex.
The main problem however is the accessibility and driving is preferable getting here. However, that would also mean that bottlenecks are everywhere getting to this place and traffic is definitely not pleasant. For those who are looking for a more peaceful place to walk about Nusajaya side is definitely preferable.
If you have got time to spare, find an escalator that will bring you to the 3rd floor and you will find a rooftop garden and even more dining options. Many who visit are not aware of this 'secret' level. There is also movie screenings for kids the last time I was there which will be a great way to...
Read moreHi, I want to make a report about Yangguofu Malatang at the Toppen Johor Bahru outlet. I went there feeling happy because I was craving malatang, and I thot the staff there would all be okay. The story goes like this: I sat at an empty table. Before I sat down, I saw a male staff member lying on the sofa (which is supposed to be a customer seating area). I didn't mind the staff member sleeping in the customer area. But while I was eating there, another female staff member suddenly came and wrote "staff only" on a piece of paper to stick on the table next to me. She didn't put the paper on my table, but she glared at me with complete disrespect. Do you think I didn't feel like I was eating? It's like there's no respect at all! Please improve your customer service. I'm paying, not begging. The staff even gave me a dirty look as if I was eating in their break area. Don't they have their own break area? It's a place for customers, not for them to rest. I was sitting at the table with the food, he came over while I was eating and immediately stuck "staff only" signs on all three tables. I immediately lost my appetite. I hope you can...
Read moreVery big mall with IKEA right beside. Very clean and spacious. The toilet design almost same like Somerset 313. I Went on Thursday and it is not crowded at all. There is a food court (Food Empire at level 3). I came here as first timer as my only goal was to eat the Dookki here to see if there are differences between Singapore and Malaysia food served for the buffet.
Coming from Singapore, there are buses to take from JB Sentral. But the buses don’t stop directly outside like mid-valley mall. Have to walk around 10mins to the bus stop from the mall, and from the mall to the bus stop for going back to JB Central. (There is a YouTube video uploaded by The Biannual Travellers which I watch for reference on how to take the bus back to JB Central)
I took bus T18 back at 4.45pm and the whole journey took 1hr15mins back. I used the Manjalink card and the whole fare for the single trip is Rm2.70, which is cheaper than taking Grab/Taxis. For coming here, I took GrabSaver to Aeon mall(which is opposite toppen mall) from KSL mall, cab fare is 16Rm. (It was raining heavily and the normal fare was 19-21Rm, thankful for the...
