Firstly, I would like to compliment everyone at the reception for being extremely attentive and friendly during our arrival and every time we walk by it. Siva (I hope I got his name right) was so helpful in assisting me navigate the Grab app so I could get a ride to the US Embassy. He made sure I had the correct pickup point at the hotel lobby and not the mall North entrance. It made such a lasting impression on me and I am extremely thankful for that. I had wanted to compliment him after my return from the embassy but did not manage to see him. The Boulevard hotel has always been close to my heart as I have stayed there with my parents as a child and teenager. We have fond memories of the hotel. Now that I am a working adult, I was exuberant to be able to bring my mother to KL for a girls’ shopping trip and stay at your hotel on such a great price. Nonetheless, I wish to highlight a couple of issues I had. 1. A newly renovated room does not mean much when the floor is dirty, carpet stained and bedding torn in several places. When I call housekeeping about this, they were apologetic and sent someone to clean up. The housekeeper lamented that they were short of staff. 2. With a RM50 charge per room, the inclusive breakfast was extremely disappointing. On the first morning, Wild Rice gave us 4 options; Toast, Nasi Lemak, Porridge, and American Breakfast. When I asked if the American Breakfast came with toast, the staff sternly told me I could only have ONE item. American Breakfast was good though. My mother ordered the Nasi Lemak so imagine our surprise when it was literally just nasi lemak with sambal, anchovies, peanuts and hard-boiled egg; no sides of curry chicken/rendang or any kind of meat accompaniments. We ordered coffee and it did not come with creamer of any kind so we had to request. On the second morning, we were once again provided the exact same options for breakfast. I again ordered the American Breakfast but most of what was served was lukewarm at best. Hash browns were cold. My mother decided to try the porridge. It was also lukewarm. I am no chef but I like to think porridge is meant to be steaming hot when served with its condiments which were rightfully cold. So for RM25 per person, your breakfast quality and options hardly seem worth it. Being ala carte menu, I would expect that the food served to be freshly made to order. I understand that the pandemic has affected everyone, particularly the tourism industry but if this is the standard of your hotel now, I might as well have paid half of what I spent for Cititel instead.

I have stayed in both cititel and st giles boulevard hotel in midvalley. Overall St Giles is much better compared to cititel. both have direct entrance to midvalley megamall. this is my review for st giles boulevard I stayed in room 1722 in July 2024 Cleanliness: Room is clean, toilet is clean, room smells nice when we enter Wifi: Strong and stable wifi Bed: Good mattress and super comfy Aircond: Moderate power, i wish it can be more cooler. maybe due to the current weather that is extremely hot, I dont feel cold in my room, even though I have adjusted the temperature of the aircond. Check in: Super smooth check in at 2pm. Front desk staff malay boy is polite and pleasant. (Unlike cititel hotel that is so crowded around the check in time, we need to queue long just for checking in, we only manage to enter our room at 4.30pm. so if u dont want to stress yourself, please stay in st giles and avoid going to cititel hotel) Breakfast: Many choices of food to choose from. Breads, pastries, muffins, cakes, noodle soup, sausages, omeletes, nasi lemak, porridge, many types of cereals, traditional kuih, fruits, yoghurt, tea, coffee, teh tarik, fresh milk, juices. Breakfast as early as 630am open till 1030am. I like their croissant the most. very soft, fluffy and buttery Parking: They shared the parking with midvalley mall. the staff informed us that zone H is the nearest parking, however it is very hard to park in zone H as the parking space is very small and limited. It is better if u park at zone C instead. zone C is located at the north court. After park in zone C (near Aeon), u can take the lift or escalator up to level G. u can see vincci and padini shop very big, and the entrance to the hotel is right beside vincci. super convenient u need to validate your tng card at the hotel counter during checkout. u will get a flat rate of rm5 for the parking, per 24 hour. Amenities: I like that this hotel provide a good quality bath robe, u can wear the bath robe if you’re going to the pool Facilities: Gym, spa, breakfast place and pool all located at level 9 of the hotel TV: local tv channel (tv1,2,3,7,9 etc), youtube apps, also there are a lot of movies uploaded in the tv itself where u can browse and watch Overall experience: if 1 thing to improve I wish their aircond to be more cooler. I like my room to be super super cold. anyway, overall I enjoyed my stay in st giles boulevard hotel. will definitely revisit this hotel again.

We’ve been here for quite number of times, and this is our first time having such unpleasant stay. Thus, I’m taking my time to write this review to share my frustration.

First – BROKEN BED I was first felt the crack about 3am in the morning, had uneasy feeling as the bed is a bit uncomfortable and uneven. I did checked but didn’t notice anything. Or maybe I was too sleepy or tired at that time.

7am- As I woke up from the bed, I heard the crack again!!! 100% sure the bed is broken. (Refer picture). Then I called the front office , they sent someone to come and checked. That someone came to the room, 10 minutes before 8am. WASTED ALMOST 1HOUR OF MY TIME. He just came to confirm, the bed is indeed broken.

8.30am – NO FURTHER ACTION. I called the front office again, they said will change room. I was like, sure you have to. Then I have to wait again, for them to assist with the room exchange. ANOTHER 30 MINUTES WASTED!!

9 am – Someone showed up at the door. Her first word was, “We have upgrade your room to Suite but you have to checkout by 12 unless you want to extend your stay”. Honestly for me, it was very rude. She was like by giving free upgrade, she can settle everything as if I really look forward for the upgrade. You have wasted my time about 2 hours and you are giving me this attitude just by offering room upgrade. I valued my time more than my money! Plus, I am travelling with my 2 months old baby, so I tend to get emotional when my time was wasted like that. I might misread her, but she could be more polite and be empathic to the guest. It would be nicer if you ask whether the guest prefer late checkout or room upgrade.

Second – ROOM No hair dryer – As someone with hijab, you need to dry your hair before put on the hijab. And it is very frustrated to find that there is no hair dryer when it suppose to be there! Again, wasting my time!!

Leaking jug kettle – Travelling with babies, hot water is a must. Leaking kettle is another disaster for this stay. But they come and replace it as soon I complaint.

MAKE UP ROOM. I’ve press the MAKE UP ROOM button, and purposely call just to make sure that they are aware of my request since this is the holiday season they might be busy and overlooked. Make the request before we went out for shooping around 5pm. And we come back at 10pm, the room was exactly as when we left. They didn’t come to make up the room!

The worst part is my baby was acting up and I could not put her to sleep as the room is not ready! Called the front office 3 times, talked with the Duty Manager then around 10.30pm only the housekeeper come in. Luckily, they were good and fast.

Super duper frustrated with your service and hotel this time!! Still because of your location and room size (compared to Cititel), I would maybe still come and stay here again. But please improve.

On side note: Thanks to FO Hana, whom very helpful and attentive during my phone call reservation. (my call was...
