Few comments from this review:

Finally the restaurant accepts cards; the main reason why we didn’t go back to this restaurant was because they only accepted cash in the past years.

Huge improvement in the menu with more options, case in point fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, etc. I now have more choices of foods. Overall, the quality of foods were maintained.

We visited on Saturday evening (25/1/2025). The restaurant appeared busy and packed but we managed to get a table without having to wait for long. The cashier was so stressed out when there were four customers queueing to pay at the counter, and I was the third in the queue. He didn’t smile nor say thank you to me as customer. In the end, I smiled and said thank you, but he didn’t hear me or too distracted, and kept looking at the machine. I understand the feeling. This was consistent with the waiter and waitress who served our table of three. We ordered three main courses, one side dish and drinks. No smiling back from the waitress and waiter who brought the foods to our table. Despite that, I smiled and said thank you. Imagine, the same waiter and waitress who came to our table several times just ignored me and walked away. I find them unprofessional, insensitive and rude. However, the waiter who took our order (he might be from India but I am not certain) was very nice and diligent. He spotted an error I made on the order sheet. He politely clarified with me and I corrected the order. I thanked him for his diligence and he put on a very genuine smile, and appeared humble.

In summary, having great foods and nice interior decor weren’t be enough for us. It’s the overall experience of having a pleasant meal and great time. One great waiter, with three other waiter/waitress/cashier ruined the whole evening was just too much. The restaurant manager and supervisor play a part here, as they need to monitor and motive the staff especially when the restaurant is very busy. Smiling, saying thank you and being genuine mustn’t be things that you do when you have time. This restaurant appeared to be doing very well and mustn’t take things for granted. ...

The food here are acceptable in terms of taste but no big deal I can find this kind of food elsewhere with more affordable price because this place is too overpriced for this kind of simple food. Most important point i would like to voice out here is the service FACILITIES here is SUPER POOR... the business here have been operated for more than 10 years and they don't not even have a terminal for credit and debit card , e-wallet like grab , touch n go & etc. I was so shocked when the cashier told me they only accept CASH... luckily I brought sufficient of cash otherwise it will be a hassle for me to go around to look for an ATM machine. This is so ridiculous! The owner really living in stone age... nowadays we seldom carry so much of cash around. On top of that, their price is not cheap compare previously. Infact the price had increased really high which is more than 60% price increase on every items ... average dish and drink for a person minimum would be around RM50...imaging if whole family of 4 persons dine in easily cost RM200++ but they don't have a credit debit card terminal or even e-wallet 😡... some more located in a well-known popular mall... such a big joke ! Other people in the same industry would really laugh out loud ...the owner is really no sense of business ! People if you don't have CASH please don't go dine in because having Credit Debit Card or e-wallet is useless here... PLUS the food here portion is VERY SMALL PORTION AND EXPENSIVE with very normal recipe which you can get these kind of food easily. The most hilarious is the boss still living or stucked in the era of 50's where Crefit Debit card or e-wallet still doesn't exists yet... This will be my...

revamped, simple & clean look

food is decent & consistent, like the slightly sweet taiwanese pork burger & the minced pork pie

efficient staff

great for lunch but can get very crowded

background music can get pointlessly loud

...........................................................

early October24, lunch:

1] hot & sour soup & noodles (thick flat) 2] pig's intestine meesua

both starchy concoctions but it is what it is ... tasty stuff ... (however, the tiny pieces of offal in the meesua are extremely difficult to eat with the steel chopsticks and spoon)

still crowded

...........................................................

late Jan25

napkins should be provided instead of customers having to ask ... ridiculous

overall 4s reduced to 3s

TL;DR: Great matcha tart & good orange yoghurt drink, with buzzy cafe vibes. Why we went: Heard about this popular place and walked past out of curiosity. Already had dinner but got tempted by the pretty desserts on display. Ended up with a pastry + beverage set @RM25. Food : Have a weakness for matcha and for tarts and of course I had to order the matcha tart - the last one they had left then! Matcha cream/ganache filling was dense, with good matcha fragrance - not too sweet nor milky. Best of all, the tart base was fresh and crunchy - I knew it’s good when I had difficulty cutting through it with the knife! It’s gone in seconds. I needed a second one! Drink: The orange yoghurt milk drink was yummy too, milkiness balanced by the refreshing orange juice. Service: Good and pleasant service only gripe is, they only accept cash payments for spending less than RM50. Ambience: The clean, contemporary interiors with accent light is inviting, but noise levels can be quite high. Good for those who like lively, bustling places. Keen to come back to try some other dishes!

This has always been the standard for Taiwanese cuisine as in there's something nice for everyone and in my latest visit, the food taste the same and didn't disappoint after more than 10 years. The Fish and Egg Rice is always good. Simple and satisfying. The fish is definitely not Dory. Then my favourite, the "San Bei Chi" or 3 Cup Chicken taste great but this round the sweetness is a bit on the overwhelming side. I love their soups that they prepare, it's boiled to perfection. A good hearty soup. But here's the unfortunate setbacks, firstly they charge a premium as in more than RM50 per pax for 1 set and a drink but they still don't accept any forms of cashless payment, only physical cash (at this point of review). The place looks rundown, furniture is badly worn. One would expect better for the premium price. Nevertheless food and service is still top notch. It's still a good restaurant but much needs to be improved to complete the experience.
