Honestly this is the second time I’ve experienced the same issue. All along I’ve ordered macaroon over the display because the flavours are written there and you don’t expect customers to memorise everything, if you do expect it at least write a note there writing “order at counter” so that we don’t stand there and wait for the service crew to serve us. The first time I went there and stood by the display the staff already saw me standing there because he was taking a cake from the display but he still ignored me and served another customer who was infront of the cashier but came later than me, I stood there and waited for around 15mins (got frustrated and left disappointed). The second time was today, I understand it was closing time but there were 2 people infront of the cashier/display. One of them could’ve served me but they didn’t until my Mother In Law said hello to them and this Malay lady staff told me to order by the counter which I was okay with it at least I wasn’t waiting there for around 15mins AGAIN. When it was my turn I told them I wanted a box of macaroon and the Boy asked me what flavour I wanted, I looked at the Malay lady and said that’s why I wanted to order infront of the display so that I can choose my flavour (I said it nicely and was smiling by the way) She then rolled her eyes at me which I felt very uncomfortable cause it was very rude, I don’t know what she whispered to the Boy after that but I know she wasn’t happy when I said that. I just hope that we get served the same way everytime so that we know where should we order and what should we do. Nobody wants to get treated like we’re the one that’s suppose to serve them, we’re consumers. And for this Malay lady staff please talk to her about “rolling her eyes” at customer, if she cannot handle this industry please don’t come out and give faces to...
Read moreBought this cake from Komugi because of the cute topper.
Noticed that the cake was not placed centrally on the board, so one side of the cake was smushed against the cake box. It was also not due to our handling of the cake, as we immediately took it back home after purchase and there were no stains on the other side of the cake indicating that it had slid.
Cake box was flimsy and one corner was damp, resulting in the cake board breaking apart, and made it very difficult to remove the cake from the box. Potentially this was due to the cream not being solid enough and moisture leakage from the side touching the box.
Sales staff (man in blue collared shirt) was very polite and helpful.
Hope Komugi can take some action to rectify this. Not the best presentation for a big Father's Day...
