Iâd like to share some honest feedback regarding our recent experience at your LINC KL outlet.
Previously, I had played Seri Panggung Academy and truly enjoyed it â the experience was impressive, which is why I confidently recommended some friends to join me this time at LINC KL. We went in with high expectations, but unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed.
All of us are big fans of escape rooms and horror-themed experiences. We were genuinely excited for this. At the start, the front desk staff did a decent job staying in character, and a female staff member was especially friendly. She explained the âcoinâ thing and how Episode 2 and Episode 3 are linked â that part was informative and appreciated.
When the game began, the first character we met â the girl playing someone called Matrix or Maxi â made an okay entrance and helped set the mood. However, when we tried to interact with her, she didnât respond at all and just stuck to her scripted lines. We understand the need to stay in character, but in an immersive experience like this, interaction between players and actors is crucial. It felt one-sided and unprofessional.
Later, there was a setup involving the âwoman in whiteâ character. We were introduced to her briefly with a bit of backstory, and we assumed she would play a larger role later in the game. But she only appeared briefly in the beginning, with no follow-up and no interaction. We were left confused â what was her purpose? Were we supposed to find her? Escape from her? The characterâs role was unclear and felt incomplete.
Next, we encountered the boss character, Riza. His performance was alright. There was a scene where we were given a camera and a music box to take a photo, and the flashing lights added a nice touch. During this moment, we were expecting the âwoman in whiteâ to reappear and intensify the atmosphere â it wouldâve made the experience much more impactful. This is something we suggest you consider improving.
Then came a hallway section, but it wasnât particularly memorable. After that, the IT Guy appeared. To be honest, his performance after the âfight sceneâ was quite underwhelming. His expressions felt unnatural, lacked intensity, and didnât come across as scary. The mood really dropped at this point, and we believe this character and section need more work to create real tension or fear.
Towards the end, I was asked if I wanted to become a âdatukâ (if I heard correctly), and I chose to âbetray.â I was expecting this choice to lead to a different ending, or at least some extra interaction or a special scene. But instead, we were simply shown a TV screen and then escorted out. I even asked the staff, âThatâs it?â and they replied, âYes.â It left me wondering what I had just played â the experience felt incomplete and unfulfilling.
To be fair, your set design and atmosphere are very well done â the props and scenes are highly realistic, and you clearly have the potential to deliver a great experience. But in terms of horror and intensity, it really fell short. Itâs not that we arenât afraid â we are â but the experience just didnât have enough suspense or fear to match the strong visuals.
Lastly, when we tried to share our feedback with the staff, their response was rather disappointing. It felt like they werenât genuinely listening to what we were saying, and their tone came across as dismissive. At times, they even contradicted themselves and didnât seem interested in understanding our points. The whole conversation left a poor impression.
Overall, this was not the experience we hoped for, and unfortunately, we wouldnât recommend it to others in its current state. We sincerely hope you can take this feedback constructively, as we do believe your team has the...
Read moreThis is the 3rd time we come for hauntu, first for the episode 1: the thief at the linc, second for the sri panggung academy at the cruve pj, third time for episode 2: the tourist and this is the worst experience ever in hauntu! The worst and the last support for Hauntu!
This is the first time we was asking for joining another group (we 6 pax and another group 3 pax) which previously we only play with our group (7 pax), then we was questions the receptionist, name Nazrul? (Receptionist at the linc on 8Jun24 Saturday night) about why not inform us earlier that we need join another group and this man kept saying that the website have t&c, we have not another choices unless we rescheduled with a fee, and then he cancelled our booking directly without inform and asking usđ His attitude are really bad and aggressive ! No inform, no refund, and no solution, we been there from klang and we are the last appointment group, how can we reschedule???
Secondly, the theme and game setting for this episode 2 are really boring and fun less. Few of game point designs and decorations are same with last episode and made us not surprisingly for the part. We been forced to join another group and the group are super hyperactive, always running in front of us in every stop, six of us are not enjoying in this game because another group kept blocking our view while the actors are acting and also the space are totally too small for 9 people! Some of us kept pushing by other people. We finished this episode and the ending ended so suddenly ???? We even dont know what happened and whatâs the result of our choice? wait, got choice???
Goodbye Hauntu and Blackout, no more next time! You made us disappointed! Kanasai...
Read morePriced at RM58, you may get cheaper (RM45-50) if you book at klook/have a student card! In terms of user journey, it was extremely simple. Everything was available on site for any bookings/cancellation, staff was very friendly and helpful too! Itâs up to 10pax per session & if you come in with less, youâd either get grouped with others or enter with that amount of people. I came w my friend & we end up entering just both of us! We donât mind tho, it made it more exciting :)
We went for Ep 3, if youâre still confused how Hauntu works (which I was previously) - itâs basically like a haunted house but with a plot. Youâre entering with a character given to you and there will be actors/actresses along the way whoâll basically guide you. All of them did an amazing job at their roles which made us subconsciously act along. The place was extremely well decorated & they did a great job playing around with the audio! Bare in mind, the casts speak english (not sure if Malay is an option?)
We had such a great time from start to mid but the plot, for us atleast, got slightly confusing by the end and kind of threw us off. I was hoping for a clearer ending/closure despite whatever decision we made in there, be it being able to escape/die/live. I think having people still being in-character even after exiting would be extremeeely helpful! And having something to bring home to would made it more memorable too!
Overall, totally worth it to try out! P/s, wear comfortable...
