2 Stars for making Affidavit for my daughter (the same section to make Visa) and 5 Stars for legalising marriage book. •Affidavit• My advice and experience : 1. Come early as they limit the que number to 200 for submitting documents (see working hours I attached). At 10-11am the numbers usually will have finished. Last time I came early but the gate was not open yet, when it should be open according to working hours, people had to make a line outside the gate, but still better to come early. Please be aware of people who like to cut the line. Ask them to que. For collecting, it doesn't need que number. Just come on specified date and time given in the receipt after you submit documents. 2. Check their official website AND people experience about the requirements consistency. They are unlikely to pick up the call (I had tried before). Last time I prepared photo 3x4cm based on the website it turned out when I red the form given by them the photo should be 4x6cm. 3. I didn't have problems with the staffs' English skills because I'm Indonesian. But I saw a few foreigners had difficulty to understand what the staff said. You could ask them to speak slowly or ask them to write instead. Maybe it could help. •Legalising Document• I legalised marriage certificate. Now the counsellor service has gone up to second floor. They have que card, the room is new, nice AC. The legalisation for documents issued from Indonesian institution is free. But different rate applied if the documents are issued abroad. See the image I posted. The procees is also fast.

We arrived at the embassy around 8.30 am on 19/2/19. We were told all the running numbers for the day were finished and a new batch of numbers will be given at 11 pm. The same night we arrived at the embassy early and my wife lined up by 10.20 pm to get the number. We were told by the security in the morning that the counter will be opened at 11 pm and numbers will be given out. The crowd were getting bigger and bigger every hour. Until 1.30 am, there were still no announcement whether the counter will be opened to release the running numbers. My wife lost her patience and was frustrated by the unprofessional work personnel who did not even bother to make any announcement. We left feeling sad, frustrated and just gutted out by the whole experience after waiting for so long. We still need to return to the embassy and endure the painful experience all over again. My suggestion, please have the officers announce if the counter is opening late and do updates. There were so many people waiting, pregnant ladies, ladies with kids and elderly people. Treat people with some dignity as your embassy is representing the whole of Indonesia and you want to paint a good picture. Something needs to be improved. I understand the high volume of passport renewals, etc but the Indonesian embassy should hire more personnel to reduce the congestion and make thing smoother. If someone has suggestion on how to beat the crowd or have a sound knowledge of when the numbers are released exactly, please share. Thank you.

Just make sure be here at 8 am. Loooonngggggg queue. Konsuler tiket for CTC, only 100 numbers opened. Dont miss it. So make sure come at 8. If you got number above 50 then your turn will be after lunch 😂. If your docs not complete, after a long waiting to get your number is called, says you got number 60 and your turn is at 3 pm, you will be asked to complete your docs, even though you've waited a whole day 😭. Much better if they assign one person to walk through visitors who are waiting, to check their completeness of the docs. If complete then wait. Else, back home. By doing so, more people will be served, why limited only 100? So visitors dont need to wait that loooonnnngggggg....................................................................................................................... (please, please...please) 🎵🎶🎵🎤 Please, please, please don't prove I'm right Please, please, please Don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another I beg you, don't embarrass me.... 😔😁😊🤣🙄😔😭😂 (Sabrina Carpenter)

My passport was damaged, and when I tried to make an appointment in July, it could only be processed in November. Therefore, I decided to apply for a Special Leave Permit (SPLP) so that my passport renewal process could be done in Jakarta.

According to the scheduled time of 15:00-16:00, I arrived at 14:45, but I was only called after 5 hours. On July 28th, there were instances where some people were allowed to cut the line, coordinated by a batik-uniformed officer. I don't know his rationale, but when I asked, he just told me to wait!

In the payment section, it was stated that the SPLP would be finished in 3 days. However, when I returned after 3 days, there were several issues. Firstly, the payment receipt was deemed invalid because the barcode was unclear (obviously not my fault), and the SPLP officer asked me to return to the old counter. However, the counter officer who had served me 3 days ago was not there! I tried to inform my cases (politely) to another counter and got rejected. I then moved to another available counter and was treated very unfriendly. It was frustrating!

After I finished and came back to the SPLP queue (different part of the embassy), I still got question about why it wasn't stamped.

Why isn't there a standardized standard operating procedure (SOP) among the counters? Or an information board stating that the payment receipt must be cleared and stamped by an officer so that the customer can check before leaving the counter?

The worst part is that after going through all of that, it turns out that the SPLP was not ready, and I had to leave without any clarity due to the high demand...
