Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food tasted good, and I appreciated the creativity of the dishes. The atmosphere was reasonable, and the service staff were generally friendly and warm. However, their incompetence and lack of attention to detail marred my experience.
Specifically, the staff were forgetful, failing to replace my cutlery and neglecting to serve the special chilli with my cheong fun until I asked. I had to request extra chilli sauce THREE times before receiving it. They also recorded my dessert order twice and didn't offer to clarify.
Furthermore, the staff made assumptions and were dishonest. When I asked about the Indonesian curry prawn bee hoon, they claimed it was off the menu but still available. However, the dish that arrived tasted nothing like Indonesian curry, and the order was written as prawn noodle which again they failed to read back and clarify my order. Similarly, they double-ordered my dessert, refused to take the dessert back despite not touching the dessert and insisted I pay for it, despite my clear instructions.
The staff lacked initiative, failing to replace plates unless requested and not following up to ensure all orders were accurately recorded and the dishes had arrived in good order.
This lack of initiative and honesty was evident in the menu presentation as well. The photos in the menu were not representative of the actual dishes, and the presentation lacked effort. It would have been better if they had noted that the photos were for illustration purposes only.
Overall, while the food tasted good, the service and menu presentation left much to be desired. I hope the restaurant takes these feedback points seriously and improves their service and...
Read moreThis is an upscale Cantonese cuisine restaurant. We come occasionally for celebrations. This time around, we came because we were given a birthday voucher by the restaurant.
The double boiled shark’s‑bone soup with fish maw is premium but absolutely worth trying if you’re after something nourishing and refined.
The Spanish Iberico ribs is fabulous. Though smaller in size, it is well seasoned, remarkably tender and flavourful.
The braised deep sea garoupa served in a claypot is outstanding. The big chunks of fish is firm with gelatinous skin. In this braised preparation, the fish is simmered with water chestnuts, mushrooms, cloves of garlic, and the braising sauce is thickened to create a comforting, rice-gravy styled dish.
The chicken and chicken rice is a real wonder. Chicken is tender & slightly chewy so you can savour the flavour of the chicken with each bite. The salted chicken & ginger rice in particular is a standout. You will end up wanting more.
The soft shell crab wrap does not feature among Noble House’s signature offerings, but it is good side dish.
Hokkien noodle is a must have, it’s out of this world.
The lightly poached and umami rich baby spinach with crab meat never fails.
Of course, a dinner is never complete without dessert. Other than chilled mango with sago & tong yuen in ginger tea, we also tried something new on the menu ie. ‘shredded coconut cream mangosteen’. Really yummy.
Service here is noteworthy. One of the waitress even helped our old mother cut up her food into small bite sizes. Truly...
