This house was originally built in 1916. Very well preserved and is guided by local people with a lot of information.

Our guide was friendly, funny and informative. The tour was about only 1 hour, but it covered a lot of topics about Malaysian culture such as wedding, religious ceremony, family dramas, dining, cooking, childhood games, and so on.

From outside, we cannot really tell this is the place so without knowing it, so it might be difficult for you to find it. But there are gift shops, many pictures, and displays of the old times. Employees we met were all friendly and easy to chat with.

I do recommend to visit here after you try Muzium Negara (national museum) and textile museum. So you can more relate yourself to various stuff you already learnt.

During the tour, the guide talked about some preservation measures of the house, it was pleasant to meet someone who loves what they do. Highly recommended to give it a visit if you are interested in...

A rare gem amidst the bustle of KL city. Go here if you have any interest at all in learning about how the Malays used to live outside of the cities. It will give you a view of life from a time in Malaysia when things were simpler and different.

The actual house is an authentic Village Head man's house which has been pain stakingly moved piece by piece from the northern state of Kedah to Kuala Lumpur then restored. The project in of itself is brilliant and the love for the heritage really shows. The guided tour was very informative and our guide, Allison really did a great job to keep us interested.

Some have mentioned that the entry price is high, but honestly, it's less than a bowl of noodles at a nearby shopping complex. A heritage house like this requires expensive care to maintain it against the elements. See it and support it before it is...

Beautiful building and excellent tour. Our guide was very informative and worked hard to ensure we had a great experience. We learnt so much about the building and the Malay culture from both ladies who were with us on the tour. The building itself is beautifully preserved with some amazing carvings and includes a fully furnished wedding bedroom, living accommodation a kitchen and office, with many artefacts from the past. Everyone at the centre was very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed talking with them all. We would thoroughly recommend this little traditional oasis in the centre of modern KL. Thank you again for a...

I wish there were more accessible and well-maintained historical sites like this in KL (instead of new malls 😭). Entrance + guided tour can be bought in person (RM10 for Msian/RM20 non-Msian). The guided tour also includes a 20 min video on how the house was relocated to KL. The tour itself was an extremely informative walk through of the site and the tour guides were really friendly. The house is a very well-thought out showcase of Malay culture and History. I highly recommend including this in your itinerary when visiting KL!

We were quite excited to check out this place as we had never seen any traditional Malay houses before. When we reached there we found out that the the entrance to the house was a paid entrance and only as a part of a guided tour - i.e you will be accompanied by a guide who ll explain the house to you. There is also a free exhibition hall which showcases some black and white pictures of old Malaysia. We somehow felt it was quite a small house for a RM 10 entrance fee per person. Being a large group, we did not venture inside.

An old traditional Malaysian house in the middles of the city center. For 20 RM you will get a private tour. Ms. Rose, our guide was very nice, she gave us a lot of interesting information about Malaysian culture and traditions, answered to our questions and even advised where to eat tasty Nasi lemak, traditional Malaysian dish. Thank you for such a wonderful tour! Don’t forget to visit two small gist shops, there are things you might want to buy.
