It was a nice dining experience even there was some minor disappointment. Celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary. My dad has a small appetite so not all the Omakase restaurants out there we can go as they normally need us to order the omakase for each person. Food was above average yet can be better. For the price paid, would expect a better experience. The way they serve the sushi and sashimi can be better as the hygiene should be taken into higher attention. One of my Otoro had a soft bone which I think it shouldn't happen in this kind of Japanese fine cuisine. The Chef - Looi was very attentive and apologized at once and compensate with another piece. No doubt they use all the premium ingredients such as Umi, Truffle, Otoro, Foie Gras etc, but would prefer them to be served in the more authentic way. We also ordered the Premium Chirashi Don where I enjoyed it very much. The dessert is the accomplished the meal which I love their...
Read moreI really enjoyed this Japanese set meal, it felt very refreshing overall, without overly complicated seasoning.
My favorite was definitely the oyster 🦪 — super fresh, with a natural briny sweetness, and the leek sauce made it even smoother.
The cold chawanmushi 🍮 was also quite special. The egg custard was silky, and the uni with truffle blended nicely without being overpowering.
The sashimi 🐟 was very fresh — the otoro was soft and buttery, while the uni had a gentle sweetness. You can tell the ingredients were top quality.
For the nigiri sushi 🍣, the one that stood out to me was the scallop with foie gras. It’s a unique pairing and the texture was really rich.
Finally, the dessert fruits 🍈🍊🍇 — like the Shizuoka melon and muscat grapes — were light and refreshing, a perfect finish to the meal.
Overall, it’s not about bold or overwhelming flavors, but more about freshness and balance — really...
Read moreTried their dinner menu ‘umi’ which is their chef exclusive menu and turned up it is a very disappointing omakase experience.
My first impression is that their chef serve omakase with a dirty attire. They never clean the sushi serving plate after every sushi served. More ridiculously there is fish bone in the sushi which you will not have it even in sushi king. So I doubt the grade of their sashimi. Although their chef politely apologize and gave us a complementary sushi but it is still not acceptable with the price paid.
Overall it is truly an unpleasant omakase experience and not...
