Muzium Etnologi Dunia Melayu — Attraction in Kuala Lumpur

A very informative museum dedicated to the education of the Malay cultures from an ethnographic point of view. There are sections dedicated to traditional cultural games, to the performing arts, crafts, to history. I feel this should be promoted more. There's also games which you can play. the museum is well air-conditioned.

You have to purchase separate tickets (not inclusive with the entrance ticket fees to the Main Museum Negara). The entrance tickets are priced at RM5. 00 for international guests and cheaper from Malaysian citizens. The tickets also grants you access to the Orang Asli Craft Museum (just beside)

This museum looks relatively small from outside, yet once you are there, you can see uts not trye: wast, extensive and very informative exhibition of literally every angle if Malayan traditional ethnography. While nearby National museum somehow covers ethnography of all Malaysian ethnic groups and communities, this one concentrates on Malay one.

It is worth going to see this museum along with the crafts and main museums. All 3 are connected and help tell the rich history of the country and cultures.
