Service: average Food: forgettable; nothing impressive Ambience: good

Waiting area/lounge outside the restaurant smelled terribly of cigarettes. The minute we exited the lift we could smell it. I was more concerned for my baby as we had to walk past that area to enter the restaurant.

I called to make a reservation exactly one week ago to ensure we had a booking as I wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday.

I was actually very impressed by how professionally the reservation was taken because i have called many restaurants before to place reservations but this was by far the most detailed. The waiter repeated all the details of my reservation and even asked if i was celebrating abything before I mentioned it was my husband's birthday. After hanging up, I even told my husband and my maid how impressed i was with the way the reservation was taken and that all restaurants should have such practices.

However, when we arrievd the restaurant on the day of my husband's birthday (12/9) for when the reservation was made, I was told they could not find my reservation. There i was, waiting outside the restaurant with a baby who was getting fussy inhaling all the bad air from the lounge, without a table because of an error the restaurant staff had made.

Needless to say, it was a disappointing start to the evening. The assistant manager moved some tables around and managed to fit us in but did not once come by to apologize to us for what had happened. The Manager (I'm assuming it's the Manage who wore the full black suit) also did not stop by to apologize.

Instead, after we had finished our meal and requested for the check, the hostess was the one whk apologized, saying they would find out which staff made the reservation that day. While i appreciate her assuring me action would be taken, she did not ask what time I called to place the reservation, nor did she ask if the person who answered the call from their end was a man or a woman. And I was told they do not record any of their phone calls for reservations, so how would they track back?

And even if they found out who made the error, it is still the Manager who should apologize to the guest on behalf of the staff AND the hotel. Why be a Manager if you can't bear responsibility for your team's errors? A Manager is supposed to protect the team and lead with humility. If you don't have the humility to apologize sincerely, yoi don't deserve that title.

Missing out a reservation is NOT a small problem. We had been anticipating tonight's dinner for the past week and had gotten dressed for a nice outing to celebrate a birthday with our baby. But because of their error, our reservation was not in their system. Why should the guest have to go through such disappointment when the restaurant is the one at fault?

Highly lacking manpower. For a restaurant that is supposed to provide the 5-star experience, they do not have the capacity to fulfill it. I saw so many guests having to raise their hands for service. No different from being at a hawker place.

Our water goblets were of course not refilled by them.

The food was just average; nothing to shout about. The complimentary amouse-bouche tasted even better than the a la carte dishes we ordered.

The menu selection was boring, but if the food tasted good, I wouldn't mind.

Verdict: Definitely not worth...

First off, this is a review on their food delivery and not dine-in nor stay.

Many of us already know that most hotels especially the big names can easily whip up a delicious meal in their home ground. But the bigger question is, can that same meal withstand the trip in a container and in the hands of a delivery person and yet retain their goodness?

Lobster Tagliatelle Kit (RM 260)

Packing: Not the first time we have ordered from St Regis & we absolutely adore their packaging. Everything about it screams luxury. Even though it arrived in a paper box & paper bag, it was embossed with their logo on it. It was even delivered via Lala move which was a first for us especially for food deliveries.

Taste: We ordered their Lobster Tagliatelle (RM 125.08) previously (the first 3 photos) & it was absolutely delicious with a rich sauce & the lobster shell all smashed up making it easy to eat.

Expecting the same, we ordered again. However what we missed was the “KIT’ which should have given it away. Imagine our surprise when we heard a scraping sound from the box which we left on the table!! Gingerly, we removed the contents and almost dropped the box upon seeing a live lobster within! Gosh you should have seen our faces! Without thinking, we grabbed our mobile and frantically dialled for friends to our rescue as we eyed the lobster in the box poking around. Thankfully, the fishy affair was quickly resolved! All in all, the lobster was absolutely fresh, hang on, live! 😂 The kit arrived with uncooked pasta, a broth & condiments to piece the meal together. But in all honestly, I think St. Regis did a better job cooking it the previous time than us this time.

White Chocolate & Raspberry Brownie 28.00

Taste: An absolutely mouth watering Pistachio Cake topped with Almonds, chocolates and raspberries. An absolutely perfect melody of sweet and sour to end the meal!

By far one of the best and to date still our favourites. However, would be awesome if they could send us a chef along with the kit in the future😂😂

Absolutely stunning! The Brasserie at St Regis Hotel Kuala Lumpur is a true gem for travelers seeking an exquisite dining experience. 🌟 From the moment I walked in, the elegant ambiance and attentive service made me feel like royalty. The décor is sophisticated, with a blend of classic and modern touches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion or a luxurious evening out.

The food, although not having a vast variety of options, is nothing short of exceptional. 🥂 Each dish is crafted with the utmost care and precision, showcasing the finest ingredients and culinary expertise. I particularly enjoyed the expertly cooked main courses and the delectable desserts, which were a highlight of the evening. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, leaving a lasting impression.

The staff at The Brasserie deserve a special mention for their impeccable service. 😊 They were knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to cater to our needs, enhancing the overall dining experience. While the menu may not be extensive, the quality of the food and the top-notch service more than make up for it. I highly recommend The Brasserie for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur and looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience at a top-tier establishment. A definite...

Executive Chef Azizi taslim has curated an exceptional 6 course Malaysiaku menu bringing diners on a gastronomic culinary odyssey through Malaysia’s 14 states in celebration of Merdeka and Malaysia day 🇲🇾 🤩 L Each course is inspired by our beloved local folklore and fables, with each tale amusingly summarised in a compilation of postcards with the descriptions and images of the accompanying dishes printed on the back. Chef Azizi’s culinary finesse and creative reinterpretation of familiar local favorites into amazingly intricate creations using a blend of European and Malaysian cooking techniques offers an elevated perspective of Malaysian cuisine with its elegantly refined, artistic presentations while preserving the distinctive authentic flavours 😍 Moreover, I loved how every course is thoughtfully composed of several sub-components giving the entire dish multi-dimensions of tantalising flavours and textures, which aptly reflects Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant diversity 💯 Check out the full review and video by HAPPYLIZZIEEATS on Instagram for more details!
