Sure! Here's a review of Istana Negara (the National Palace of Malaysia) written in smooth, natural English without subtitles: Istana Negara is a magnificent symbol of Malaysia’s monarchy and a must-see landmark for anyone interested in the country’s culture and history. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the palace serves as the official residence of the King of Malaysia (Yang di-Pertuan Agong). Even though visitors cannot enter the palace itself, the exterior view is grand and majestic. The palace grounds are well maintained, with beautiful gardens, golden domes, and traditional Islamic architecture that reflects both Malay heritage and modern design. The main gate is a popular photo spot, especially during the changing of the guard ceremony, which is reminiscent of royal ceremonies in other parts of the world. The royal guards, dressed in traditional uniforms, add to the regal atmosphere. There’s also a Royal Museum section at the older palace (the previous Istana Negara) that is open to the public. It gives visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle, traditions, and responsibilities of Malaysia’s royal family. Inside the museum, the royal chambers, formal halls, and official regalia are preserved with great care and offer fascinating insight into the country’s constitutional monarchy. While the new Istana Negara is more of a viewing experience from the outside, it still leaves a strong impression of national pride, dignity, and tradition. It’s a peaceful place to visit, take photos, and reflect on Malaysia’s unique system of governance and royal culture. Overall, Istana Negara stands as a symbol of unity and respect in Malaysia, and it’s well worth including in any Kuala Lumpur sightseeing plan.

With the current exhibition of the newly installed Agong, the museum is worth a visit. For main building (permanent exhibits) , you need to pay RM5 if Malaysian : show IC. Warning : no photography in the main palace building. But if you just want to visit the Agong exhibition in the Annex building, it is FREE. You may see arts and crafts from our Queen, some personal belongings of the King and the royal costumes worn by the King and Queen. Lots of selfie moments,as cameras are allowed in this FREE exhibition. However you must hurry, it is until November only. Just inform, the person in the ticket office at the entrance that you only want to visit the Agong exhibition. He will let you pass through the gate. For those who like to look at old architecture, those interested in history, etc, this place is for you. Parking is VERY VERY limited. Less than 40 to 50 cars. I went at 9am when the museum opened. By 10am, when I left, all the lots were taken up and there were loads of tourist buses!

The Royal Museum at Jalan Istana is a must-visit attraction in Kuala Lumpur for those who have a penchant for the glamour and history associated with royal life, and are curious to see what the inside of a palace looks like. Formerly the National Palace of His and Her Majesty Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong, the Royal Museum allows access to some of the most private rooms and hallways of the palace, which was the official royal residence for more than 80 years. The old National Palace has also seen seven out of 13 coronations of the Agong before it was officially closed on November 2011. The massive, Palladian style double-storey complex sits in an 11.34 hectare compound, and visitors are first greeted with the lush palace gardens while walking towards the main building. The palace is a no-shoes zone, shoe racks are availbale though. Personally think this place should b developed into high end hotel. Demands will b there
