I just came back from Restoran ZK. My oh my.... I had to eat a sweet cake just now to get rid of the awful taste in my mouth. I ordered the curry fish head (jenahak), ayam goreng madu and sotong. Firstly, the ayam goreng madu and sotong came cold as ice. This is totally unacceptable. As for the curry fish head, the curry was mild and whoever who prepared this dish made zero effort in enriching the flavor. Mind you, I had Anuar's Curry Fish Head just two weeks ago and everything pales in comparison. Anuar's chicken and sotong arrived piping hot and tasted delicious. I don't understand how this place can garner 1000 reviews and developed a following / queue. I think I know the answer. This is because the location of this place makes this restaurant the only restaurant nearby. I scanned around and only 2 eateries at Kg Attap. They had a following back in the 60s and 70s until now. I suspect it is also because of this restaurant's close proximity to the Selangor Badminton building (a beautiful British relic by the way). After this sullen episode, it is now firmly embedded in my heart and soul that if you ever find a gem, stick with that gem. Don't try new places or else you'll be dissapointed like I was today. I even apologized to my father for bringing him to Restoran ZK. One more bad restaurant and I think he will...

🔥 What We Ordered: • Kari Kepala Ikan (Fish Head Curry) • Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken) • Kari Kambing (Mutton Curry)
📝 Review: Delicious traditional Malaysian flavors done right! The fish head curry is exceptionally rich, aromatic, and generously portioned – perfect for sharing. The gravy is thick, well-spiced, and coats the fish beautifully.
The fried chicken is the real surprise – crispy outside, juicy inside, but the real magic is in the onions. They’re fried until golden brown and packed with flavor, giving the chicken a sweet-savory punch that’s totally addictive. You’ll be thinking about those onions long after the meal.
The mutton curry is tender and deeply spiced, with just the right level of heat. It’s the kind of dish that pairs perfectly with white rice and some crunchy papadom.
✅ Clean, air-conditioned restaurant with quick service and plenty of regulars – a sign they’re doing something right.
🥄 Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving hearty Malaysian curries. Will return!

Order the nasi with daging. The meat is tender.
Order the nasi with sotong. The squid is huge! Quite tasty, but need to chew harder.
Have a side fried chicken with honey sauce. Unique but too sweet for my taste, also concern bout the "honey" source.
Both rice serve with the veggie curry that have ladyfingers and taupo. Sadly the taupo is never cook enough to get the curry flavour. The server keep adding fresh taupo.
