LOCATION: Same row as Papa Ramaya Mutton butcher. Next to Magnum. AMBIENCE: Clean and cosy. Its not your typical indian restaurant or mamak. STAFF: Prompt with orders PRICING: A little steep but i understand businesses are trying to recover from the losses during the pandemic.
OVERALL POV:
Edited the review as i went for bfast last week but it wouldnt do justice as i didnt get to try their lunch menu and i had no photos either.
Had an impromptu visit for lunch yesterday as i had to go KL sentral to pick up my wifes pc monitor.
Anyway, Stopped by for lunch ard 1:30pm. Wasn't too packed. Menu looked good, obviously i cant try em all. Honestly took by whats most visually appealing to me. Took something ive never tried before called Onion Leaves varal i tink. I love onions and garlic and this was a perfect side for me.
I expected our usual annehs(indian brothers) to serve or assist. But i was approached by a filipino lady(based on accent) which i thought was a customer mistaking me for someone working there. (This happened to me before in Anjappars) lol She introduced herself and i think her name was Maricel/Marinel. All i know is, it felt like a restaurant in a hotel. She was well mannered and prompt. She recommended dishes that are good and popular, i still went for whats visualy good. I cant recall all that i took, but whatever i took was good. Its a first time trying sri lankan cuisine. Not bad actually.
The hostess was nice and helpful whenever i needed a drink or when asking how much the bill is. She was friendly and helpful, and that is always appreciated in any service line. I've been to a restaurant where the food was superb but the service from the waiter was so horrible, it left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak. I hope this restaurant realizes this and values it.
FEEDBACK: I think parking will be the issue here. But this is not the restaurants fault. Im not very familiar with the area but i believe there are paid parking spots...
Read moreI am a regular in their Heritage Row branch, and i love the food quality and service in the heritage branch. My friend wanted to try since i kept on going to their heritage row branch daily since l love their food. My friend since she lives nearby Brickfields, we opted to go this branch. 1) food quality is soo far from the other branch, food here was served cold, not warm nor hot. Maybe the steamer or the heater is not working.
That would’ve been tolerable but what ticked me off was service was very bad. Was on the queue for the food selection with people in front of me getting served, there was one lady in front of me and when it was my turn all four of them left. I patiently waited, and i had to call their attention just to get to me. Still didn’t happen. I was soo hungry already. When they came over i had to tell the 4 people listening to the complain of the lady in front of me for the bad service to (that’s another story), i told them can he please attend to her and you attend to me, there are four of you here. And the guy on the queue next to me said yeah service here is soo slow and bad.
This branch is really bad. Totally bad service and food quality is really bad as it’s cold already. This is totally different from the other branches. I recommend going to their other branches. Not here.
With the kind of service, or no care service at all on this branch, I don’t even expect they’d even...
Read moreHay Hi Guys.. Im a regular customer to all their outlets. Im only gonna review on their most signature snack that’s available at all time ‘Appom’.
First and foremost, what is Appom? Appom is an Indian pancake. Which is made from fermented rice flour and cooked to fluffy soft pancake with coconut milk & perfected with thin round crispy crust around it.
I only goes there for their Appoms and Teas hence I have no ideas how’s their lunch, dinner or set meals are.. Sorry!
Guys.. Their Appoms are the bomb!
Ranging from: Sweet Appom (Brown Sugar/Chakarai). Egg Appom serve with savoury spiced shredded coconut (As seen on the photo). and finally the plain Appom which served with Coconut milk.
Guys.. One is never enough!!! Believe me!!! Its too good yet its so crispy on its outer layer and cooked to perfection in its center portion. It’s an art of Appom cooking!!!
I usually start with the spiced savoury appom, then followed by the egg and then finally i love to finish it with sweet ending of the Brown sugar chakarai Appom. Satisfying Sri Lankan snack.
Guys.. their Masala teas, coffees, and milk teas are good. Perfect to wash down your appoms.
All their outlets serves the sameness, yes the same and taste the sameness!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
