During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying from new menu and few very different items, old town curry mee, old town white coffee, fruits rojak, and vegetarian meehoon, wingettes and drumstick and mint sour plum, each offering its own unique appeal.
☕ Coffee The coffee was a standout in terms of aroma and depth. It had a strong, bold body yet maintained a smooth texture that lingered pleasantly on the palate. The bitterness was balanced with a gentle hint of natural sweetness, making it neither too sharp nor too flat. Served at the right temperature, it was the kind of coffee that provides both comfort and an invigorating boost — a well-crafted cup that could easily become a daily favorite.
Mint sour plum The lemon mint drink was refreshing and uplifting, the perfect counterpart to the richness of the coffee. The citrusy zest of the lemon came through clearly, invigorating the taste buds, while the mint added a cooling, soothing finish. The blend was well-balanced; neither the lemon nor the mint overpowered the other. Light, crisp, and hydrating, it made for an excellent palate cleanser and a welcome refreshment on a warm day.
Rojak The rojak was a celebration of local flavors, offering a delightful combination of textures and tastes. The fruits and vegetables were fresh and crunchy, while the sauce a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy notes tied everything together harmoniously. The crushed peanuts sprinkled on top added both aroma and crunch, elevating the dish with every bite. It was a satisfying showcase of how contrasting flavors can work together to create a bold, memorable experience.
Vegetarian Bee Hoon The vegetarian bee hoon was light yet nourishing, a dish that proves simplicity can be deeply satisfying. The noodles were cooked just right, retaining a slight firmness without being overly soft. Accompanied by an assortment of fresh vegetables, the dish carried a subtle seasoning that highlighted the natural flavors of its ingredients rather than overwhelming them. It was wholesome, well-balanced, and ideal for anyone seeking a healthier yet flavorsome option.
Overall Experience Together, these all items created a well-rounded dining experience the coffee for comfort, the lemon mint for refreshment, the rojak for bold local flavor, and the vegetarian bee hoon for a wholesome, fulfilling meal. Each dish and drink had its own character, yet they complemented one another beautifully, making the experience both diverse and satisfying. And staffs are awesome…very polite and humble…well trained to explain the...

Tucked in Kuah’s bustling Mahacity complex, OldTown White Coffee is a trusty chain spot radiating Malaysian kopitiam warmth. The air-conditioned space boasts spacious seating, clean decor, and a welcoming vibe—ideal for travelers or locals dodging Langkawi’s heat. Open daily, it’s a haven for all-day meals with a heritage edge.
Personally, I can’t resist their iced hazelnut white coffee—creamy, nutty, and perfectly chilled, merging the iconic Ipoh roast with a tropical twist. The all-day breakfast is a feast: salad, fried egg, toast (no kaya included), hams, sausage, baked tomato, and beans—satisfying and hearty without the fuss. We know it’s a chain with familiar white coffee, rice plates, and noodle bowls, but this outlet’s fresh execution and generous portions stand out.
Service is friendly and efficient, keeping the flow smooth even during peaks. Prices are delightfully reasonable, making it a budget-friendly gem. Despite the predictable menu, it’s always my favorite in Kuah—a solid 4.-star for reliable, crave-worthy eats in a chill, inviting setting. Perfect for a laid-back refuel or a filling...
Read moreI loved this place! The staff makes a place good or bad and the staff here is fantastic! Considering how shy people in Langkawi are, it was refreshing to meet a bunch of friendly and smiling people. They are really sweet and went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed. The coffee is delicious, white coffee is a speciality in Langkawi and this place serves the best. My guide suggested this place and I went on the first day and my experience was 10/10. Coffee was a 10 and the service was even better. So I kept going back. Yesterday I asked one of the girls where I could shop for some souvenirs and she was the first person in Langkawi who directed me to exactly where I needed to go. To be fair, last time I had asked the other girl at the counter about a mall and she did the same thing. They help you with stuff that they don't even benefit from, that's stellar service. I had dinner also there last night, we had ramen bowls, great taste and very reasonable price, you must check this place out! Oh also it's right next to maha tower and you can watch a beautiful...
