This place has a lovely vibe.
We came to have a late breakfast and do some life admin on our laptops and it's exactly what we looked for. Interestingly though, when we asked about plant milk they said "no" and showed us the 100% fresh milk (the typical cow's milk carton you get here in Malaysia), which is confusing considering this is a plant based vegan and vegetarian spot. The food was absolutely lovely and I'd definitely have the salad bowl again - the same goes with the drinks too. However, the black coffee couldn't be cured even by emptying the sugar contents into the cup unfortunately. With this in mind, and with the place being a bit too warm, we decided to leave when we finished and do the admin back at the hotel instead. This place has so much going for it but, on the occasion of our visit, it didn't...
Read moreMelior Cafe in Langkawi is a heaven for vegan and vegeterian people in Langkawi Island. I got rare opportunity to relish vegan "Yee Mee", a chinese wheat noodle soup dish which was suggested by our server at the cafe. I added soy sauce to my dish from the iconic "Kikkoman" bottle which was provided along with other high quality condiments. The cafe was mostly vacant at the time which was unexpected given the great experience I had there. I guess people in Langkawi have underappreciated this joint and missing out on the wonderful dishes. It is only the tourist who are the real patron for this cafe. My only gripe with this place is that it was closed on some weekday, forcing me to visit Nian cafe which was similar in spirit to it. I hope the readers will give this cafe a visit to enjoy a vegan meal, a rare feat...
Read moreThis was so disappointing. Finding good healthy food in Kuah is hard so I was really looking forward to getting a smoothie bowl here. I tried to order a coffee to go with my meal but the machine was broken. I got the chocolate banana smoothie bowl and it arrived without bananas. The waiter tried to tell me the banana was blended in to the smoothie but it definitely wasn’t. The toppings were fresh cut apple, some sort of fried fruit, coconut, and a sugary coco kids cereal. the smoothie part was essentially frozen chocolate milk with a little peanut butter blended in. The mango lassi was also inexplicably topped with kids cereal. Everything was excessively sweet. If you want a sugar rush, come here. If you want healthy,...
