My experience with the gym has always been fun (and physically tiring). Even though there is only 1 coach that is teaching there (Coach Kenu), it doesn't stop anyone from feeling that they are not getting the attention and knowledge that they need from the class because the seniors will always be there to guide you through the techniques. But in all fairness, coach will always take his time to guide through every students in class, especially those who are really struggling with the techniques.
You can also tell that Coach Kenu is very knowledgeable by the way he is able to breakdown the effectiveness of the techniques in such a way that even higher belt students will have something new to learn from simple techniques.

People don't force you to do things you're not comfortable of; they also don't force you to join competition too if your aim is to learn, exercise, and have fun (competing is purely voluntary). But if you do compete, coach and everyone there will give you their best so that you are well prepared for the competition.
Of course some people would say that you can really improve significantly if you compete. But really, if you're not in a rush to be the best in the world, and just want to be better at your own pace, then Jiu-Jitsu Foundry is definitely the best...
