The hotel location is great and within easy walking of the riverfront, town area and several tourist attractions. |The view from my room was lovely and overlooked the river.|The room was very spacious, well appointed, clean and had plenty of storage. Free minibar and daily water.|The window was wall to wall and floor to ceiling so it felt light and open.||The pool was clean and there was some seating there but it's not somewhere that you lounge around on sunbeds and there was nowhere for that to occur. The gym was unstaffed, a few kids running around in it and some equipment was dismantled. Having said that, it seemed well equipped. |Aircon worked well and was easy to control. Shower pressure and heat of hot water were average.|I didn't include breakfast in my stay so can't comment and didn't use the restaurant or lounge as they were both empty so not inviting.|The hotel has 2 wings and there's a laundry in the adjoining shops downstairs by the Puteri entrance.|There was almost interaction with staff apart from check-in whichwas efficient. Unfortunately early one morning there were 2 incidents of fire alarms going off. I went downstairs and staff were unable to advise if we should leave our rooms or not or whether there was any actual fire. A lot of confused guests and staff had no idea what to do. Concerning if there had been a real danger.|Unless there are at least 2 of you and you can book tours online, do some homework as there's no tour desk at the hotel and when l asked reception they gave me a card for a driver service. |I later learned that the concierge staff are very helpful and can assist with booking tours through Ooh haa travel. There's also a bus which goes from directly outside the hotel to Sarawak Cultural Village but only runs on weekends. For Semengoh orang utan centre it'll cost about RM60 for a driver to take you, wait 2.5 hours and bring you back using Grab. Book the sunset cruise directly at the waterfront and there's a free daily walking tour at 4pm from the riverfront. Everything else is close to town so accessible using...
Read moreplease be informed that pool and gym are not in use, However these facilities can be utilized across the street in another hotel (but this should be clearly indicated when patrons proceed with their bookings) 24h room service meant that both times we called, nobody answered and had to call back there were only few items on the menu itself and e.g. super Basic things like burger were not available we had very noisy neighbours which made working very hard on Friday when we both had to take business calls. After us both visiting the reception few times, the hotel rectified this by 1.30pm by giving a much better peaceful room, which was much appreciated by us service & communication overall can be improved as customer is told too many times straight to their face "wait", "don't have", "don't know", "unsure". "Please", "Thank you" and "You're Welcome" should be added as part of the communication with patrons, as they soften a situation where staff is unsure. internal communication should also be improved, as we asked for a late check out and that was first agreed to be 3pm. However, our keycards stopped working at 12pm. Then our flight was postponed and we paid for extra two hours of late Checkout just to learn that housekeeping had not been informed and tried to come to our room unannounced 3.25pm. It's ofc not hiusekeepings fault that they were not informed, but I don't understand the function of the frontdesk, when nothing is delivered on the level their daily pricing assumes.. without the generous and appreciated room upgrade my review would unfortunately been below three stars, as the level of service needs more work, which can be obtained...

P/S: My POV (definitely NOT A PAID REVIEW!)
My recent stay at the Riverside Majestic Puteri Wing was nothing short of delightful. The Deluxe King room I was assigned was spacious and offered stunning panoramic views of the city.
However, the real surprise was the unexpected river view that unfolded from a cozy nook within the room. It was as if I had a private balcony overlooking the picturesque Sarawak River.
The hotel's recent refurbishment has breathed new life into the property, infusing it with a timeless elegance that echoes the classic English aesthetic. The soft, inviting lighting throughout the hotel creates a warm and welcoming ambiance.
Located in the heart of Kuching's Golden Triangle, this hotel offers easy access to a plethora of tourist attractions and convenient transportation options. Just a short walk away is the iconic Kuching Waterfront, a bustling waterfront promenade lined with charming cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. As the sun sets, the waterfront comes alive with street performers, local vendors, and a vibrant atmosphere.
Whether you're exploring the city's vibrant markets, indulging in local delicacies, or simply soaking up the serene atmosphere, Riverside Majestic Puteri Wing is the perfect base for your...
