A very Baby unfriendly and OKU unfriendly mall.
The disabled parking is located near the entrance (level B2). However, there is only escalator access (no lift seen anywhere)
Similarly, families with babies n baby strollers will find it very challenging to access the mall, only via escalator, less alone dangerous. What happens if the baby falls off from the stroller while on the escalator!
The door entrance to the mall from the parking is a manual door (not automated) . Parent coming to shop with baby and baby stroller alone in the mall will not be able to handle the baby stroller and push / pull the door simultaneously. Again, another hazard. What if the door auto shuts by accident and hits the baby!
The lifts are all hidden somewhere in the corners of the mall at all levels, with very poor signage. There are 2 lifts somewhere in the middle of the mall, but always occupied with people. Thus, you need to wait at least 15 minutes with at least 5 lifts passing by before there is a space for you and your baby stroller /wheelchair.
The baby room is only located in every other floor. There are no direct toilet access in the baby changing room. What happens if the mother while feeding the baby, needs to take a piss? Does she push the baby out of the baby room and to the ladies toilet! I have never seen any mothers pushing their babies in the stroller while visiting the ladies in a mall.
It was overall a very unpleasant experience. I will never return to this mall. The management should seriously consider the above comments seriously. You may end up disabled yourself one day, or with a newborn child.. And then you will realise this comments make...
Read moreICT Mall: A Mixed Experience As a frequent visitor to ICT Mall, I've always been impressed with the vibrant ambiance and diverse shopping activities it offers. The mall's layout is welcoming, with a variety of stores ranging from electronics to fashion, ensuring that every shopping trip is an exciting adventure. The presence of well-known brands like SOGO adds to the allure, providing a comprehensive shopping experience that caters to a wide array of tastes and preferences.
The weekend visit, however, revealed a significant downside to an otherwise enjoyable shopping destination: the state of the restroom facilities. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of appalling. When my 5-year-old needed to use the toilet, we were met with filthy conditions and an overpowering, unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, there was no tissue available, and shockingly, the water taps were locked, leaving us with no water.
Having spent nearly 3,000 MYR at SOGO that day, it was incredibly frustrating to encounter such unacceptable conditions in the mall's restrooms. The lack of basic hygiene facilities is a serious issue that needs immediate attention, as it severely impacts the overall shopping experience.
Until there is a noticeable improvement in the maintenance of the restroom facilities, I am reluctant to visit ICT Mall again, despite its appealing shopping options. I hope the management takes swift action to address these concerns, as they detract from an otherwise excellent shopping...
