Review of BBQ Town, i-City
I recently visited BBQ Town at i-City for a mini celebration, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
The sliced meat was decent, especially when paired with the sauces—though it’s a matter of knowing how to combine them effectively. Beyond that, there wasn’t much to praise. The grill area was disappointingly small, making the entire grilling experience cramped compared to places like Seoul Garden, which offer more spacious setups.
The soup was bland and unremarkable. While they provide a variety of items, most were not particularly appealing. The sushi was a major letdown—unimpressive and seemingly there just for show. I ended up taking some only for the wasabi kick. The garlic fried rice was another disappointment, lacking any real garlic flavor. On top of that, their rice cooker was faulty, adding to the frustration.
One of the ice cream machines was out of order for the entirety of my visit. Although I managed to get some ice cream from another machine, the first few tries resulted in melted servings. Even when functional, the quality of the ice cream was subpar.
The seating arrangements were uncomfortable, and moving around to get food felt like navigating a maze due to the cramped space. Drinks were not sweet, which was fine by me, but the overall dining atmosphere felt chaotic.
Service was another weak point. The waitstaff struggled with basic English, leading to repeated explanations just to get a point across.
Overall, the experience didn’t justify the price. BBQ Town seems like it’s trying to emulate Seoul Garden, but it falls short in nearly every aspect. For the life of me, I can’t understand why there’s a queue for this place. I won’t be returning.
Oh ya, one more thing- u get free fried chickens. It comes crispy but it is flavourless,...
Read moreI’ve been to this place for a few times now, and while the food has always been good, the service continues to be a major letdown. (especially at the i-City outlet)
During my most recent visit with my family, my mom (her first time here), she had a simple question about the food. Instead of assisting her, one of the staff looked visibly annoyed and chose to ignore her. To make it even worse, they completely turned away from her and served the customer standing beside us, as if we weren’t even there. It came off as extremely disrespectful and unnecessary.
On another occasion, I came with a friend and was told earlier that cash was accepted. But when we tried to pay, we were suddenly told otherwise and left standing awkwardly for nearly 10 minutes, forcing us to somehow pay cashless when we repeatedly said we didn't have a way to, only to then be told there was no change, despite the cash register being right there infront of the worker.
I understand that working in food service can be stressful, What’s frustrating is the consistent rudeness from the same staff members every time I visit this outlet. It really affects the overall experience, especially when the food is actually quite good and a few of the staff are friendly and welcoming.
I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and keep your workers in check. A little respect and basic customer service go a long way — and it’s a shame to see good food paired with such...
Read moreI have a concern about your staff attitude (Icity Outlet). i think its outlet manager or supervisor towards me and my family. Very rarely come to this restaurant. We probably did not know your policy or rules which is can't bring back and take away your food (the only 4pcs fried chicken)
And suddenly your manager/supervisor come to the table without proper explaination. Scolded my sister and give template can't take the food. She's understood and i'm still eating & takes time to finish it.
Suddenly, your manager/supervisor comes again and scold, push we eat faster and come to the counter to pay double?? I think this is very rude attitude, scold customer while still eating?
I'm still manage & finish the fried chicken as well. But i'm very dissappointed with your staff attitude. Management please train well your staff. its okay we have still in mood even no greeting & smile before we entered. But, it is too much been scolded while i'm still eating.
We paid for your foods & services. Please improve your staff communication skills to customer. Train your staff come to the customer and politely explain in detail about your policy & rules. Some of us did not know your rules. We will understand & not mad about that. It is part of your services to gain sales also. You got many competitors out there. You may loose your customer if it...
