Italiannies Central i-City — Restaurant in Shah Alam

had the worst ever dining experience with my family in my entire adult life. i am not joking or exaggerating. i mean the roadside stall service is 10 times better than this restaurant spawned straight from the pits of hell. Better change their name to Hellanies. When we reached the place around dinner time, place was not even half full. Waited at the entrance for a full 10 mins to be seated but was ignored by every passing waiters. (already not a good sign). because the kids was craving pizza, i proceeded to ask the nearest staff - the cashier for assistance. immediately the cashier apologize for under staff (hmmm?) and for not attending to us earlier..(uhmm ok). after being seated we were served the usual bread with vinegar olive oil. afterwards the staff went around their business. i called for the staff to bring us the menu and one of the staff came and point to the QR code on the table and left. Wow...so we assume we need to scan the code using our phones to see the menu.. well the reception are not that good over there and it took us about 5 mins to load the menu on our phones. anyway, the staff could have just handed us the physical menu which are stacked near the cashier. after placing our order we waited patiently and talking. 25 mins passed and not a single order was brought to our table, not even the drinks we ordered. so we inquire about the drinks and one of the waiter just nod and went about her business. another 5 mins passed it seems the waiter initially did not take any action. so we inquire again and after about 5 mins the drinks came. but the order is missing 1 drink. so we inquire again and 5 mins later another drink came. phew! what a work to get 3 glasses of drink and after about 45 mins! ok so we waited patiently and after almost an hour the complimentary kids meal arrived.not to complain but the spaghetti for the kids consist of only tomato sauce and pasta. we cannot believe our eyes. there is not even a single piece of meat or even a little garnish. it is just plain tomato spaghetti sauce and noodles. ok i cant complain much as its complimentary kids meal. so we waited another 15 mins and nowhere is the pizza and pasta we ordered are to be seen. we inquire again and it seems our order were not placed in the system ! Wow...after 1 hour 15 mins they did not taken down our order and did not bother to check either. they are surprised after we told them our order and the waiter tried to act as if its a delay on the kitchen part. i know this because we observe them going back to their desk and flipping all the order sheet. After about 5 mins the waiter came back and asked for our order again. we placed the order again and was told the pizza will be in the oven que now. hmmm. so we asked what is the estimate time for the pizza to be ready and was told 40 mins. Oh well...so after about 15 mins our pasta have arrived. guess what, the pasta was hastily cooked and the tomato sauce was very diluted and watery. i kid you not, the can spaghetti on the supermarket tasted 10 times better than this Rm40 abomination. Oh my gawd. after eating that utterly disgusting watery pasta we asked to cancel the pizza and bring us the bill. immediately when we were waiting for the bill the pizza came. well i guess they just decided to bring someone's else pizza for us. but we declined it as it is almost 2 hours and all of us adults are already famished. paid the bill and left. never ever again will visit this god forsaken hell hole. thinking of this restaurant name gave me chills and nightmare. i just wish i could get back the 2 hours i lost there. even if i were given 1000 bucks i would never ever step foot in this dumpster. well they have gave me and my family the worst dining experience ever. i wish i could pay a thousand bucks to get these hellish experience out from our lives. if i have a time machine, it would not to go back in time to buy Apple stocks or get a copy of Almanacs 5000. Our food are all good except the steak is too tough and not cooked at the doneness level we asked for. Tiramisu is so-so. Even though many review it to be good, I find there is too much whipped cream and I don't taste mascarpone cheese in it. And maybe this is a halal restaurant, so can't use Kahlua or rum in it. That caused the taste to be very different. The grape smoothie should not be called smoothie. The ice is so rough! Not fine enough.

But we absolutely love all the other food we ordered - turkey Mac and cheese, margherita pizza, Lombardi mussel pot, calamari salad. The strawberry banana smoothie is also very good.

Service is prompt, so I give full star! Ambience - too cold, it is freezing. And we found it very noisy.

The price is very affordable considering the portion of the food. We ordered 5 dishes and 1 dessert for 4 person and it only cost us RM254+.

Hope next time if I come back again, there would be pleasant...

We ordered Spaghetti Aglio E Olio with Marinated Chicken Bolognese Romagna Mushroom & Herb Chicken Pie After the 1st 2 dishes came then only I was informed that the oven broke down and I can't get my pie. I was requested to change my order which I did to Italian Bacon and Mushroom Carbonara only to be told that there is no 🍄 and is it possible to change mushroom to vegetables which I definitely rejected the combination. At that moment I was so disappointed and wanted to cancell all my orders which has arrived but because I do not want to make it difficult for the staff and also make a scene. Finally I have to settle for Spaghetti & Meatball which was so disappointed and dissatisfied. I regret my decision very much, I should have just cancell all my orders. This will be my last time here at Italiannies. I should have gone to Hoshino Coffee @ Mid Valley which has very good selection of pasta and deserts. What a...
