It’s my 2nd visit to Casa Bernard in Rabat , my first visit was 10 years ago , I was welcomed by George & joined me this time my wife & my son 8 years old who is interested about the Malteese culture and history since we visit Malta every year and we always love to experience every part of Malta , my son always dreamed of being inside the Malteese balcony and waving 👋 to the passing from the window 😊 his dream became true by George when he accompanied us around the home then went to first floor and allowed my son to have the view and photos from the balcony and stay as much as he like , we were happy of the detailed information given by George , he looked truly tired because we understand it’s not easy to do many tours a day specially each tour take approx an hour , George please stay well until we see you again next year ! There are a plethora of items such as furniture, swords and paintings that decorate the interior of Casa Bernard, and the owner can provide invaluable historical insight on each and every one of them. The tour was akin to a museum visit, as the owner provided interesting snippets of information regarding e history, architecture and folklore of Malta and Europe in general.
There's a beautiful garden as well as an underground chapel in the old basement which the owner managed to unearth in her restoration efforts.

The tour was informative and the lady was very kind and answered all our questions. We really enjoyed this visit. Only now did I realise- after reading the comments- that we weren't shown the garden or the chapel. It's a pity indeed. The price was 10€ per person as there were only two of us. To fully enjoy visiting this beautiful mansion, I think you should have quite good command of English to follow all the interesting facts told by the owner.
