Awesome spot and photo opportunities here. Saint Julian's Tower was built in 1658 to protect St. Julian's Bay. It follows the standard design of the De Redin towers, having a square plan with two floors and a turret on the roof. It has Saint George's Tower in its line of sight to the west, and the capital Valletta to its east. In 1715, a semi-circular artillery battery was built around the seaward side of the tower. Part of the battery had a parapet with four embrasures, with the rest of the parapet being en barbette. A free standing wall and a redan pierced with musketry loopholes enclosed the tower's land front, which was also protected by a shallow rock hewn ditch. In 1798, during the Maltese uprising against the French, insurgents led by Vincenzo Borg captured Saint Julian's Tower and Battery. Later on during the blockade, the battery's guns were transferred to other insurgent fortifications such as the Corradino Batteries, in order to bombard the French in Valletta. The tower gave its name to Tower Road, today one of Malta's most popular seaside promenades.

Awesome food, wonderful view.... Prices are very good, and I have not received such great service in a very long time. I brought my own water as I have just been to the convenience store, and they came with a glass filled with ice and lime and served my own water without a table charge. They offered to take my photographs of me at the table as I was dining alone and they kept seeking to assist me, offering me parmesan cheese for my wonderful spaghetti sea urchin which tasted fabulous.... Butterfingers that I am I spilt water all over the table and a changed the tablecloth with a smile on their face. I cannot recommend this place enough and as I said, the view is absolutely spectacular especially in the evening. May God bless them all there.

This place is super cool everything about it I think is really old and perfect it’s beautiful it’s been being converted into a restaurant you can’t get to the top but the view is spectacular you can see it from all locations and all around I think it’s absolutely beautiful very old structure you can definitely come here and have a coffee have some food have a crêpe anything there’s a gym right next to it I think it’s pretty funky it’s free to go up to and see in touch nothing really spectacular bit pretty cool

We had drinks here. It's not until I returned to the UK that I realised how iconic this site was. Which is such a shame. I don't feel the restaurant had any deep memorabilia to mark it's history. Or if it did I'm sad to say we missed it! Would return and check it out more thoroughly. However the promenade is as beautiful to walk down as presented on online reviews suggest and the sea views are also amazing. The image was taken along the promenade not far from it.

Marvelous spot, as the whole Malta too. San Julian is perfect for youth and adult entertainment, a lot of night clubs and gentlemen (be careful on summer if You're not fond of noisy atmosphere - too many youngsters on summer vacation). But Torri beach, if not crowded by careless youngsters is perfect place.

Amazing views of the sea while you enjoy delicious food and drinks. I ate here with a family of four and everything was fantastic. I highly recommend the fresh tuna steak. It was first rate as was the service. The only downside to dining here is that the bathrooms are public toilets which can get a bit rank.
